Smile Crunch Pak Apples 2/$4.00

I thought this was a good deal!

In the new cub coupon book there is a coupon for Crunch Pak Apples for 2/$4.00.

These are fairly good size bags of cut up apples. I bought a tart green bag yesterday and a sweet red bag. They also have a bag of the two mixed together.

I take out 4-5 slices and put in snack size baggies and they are ready to put in your lunch bag or ready for a quick snack. I tried one slice of each yesterday when I was bagging them up and they are very good quality - I just make sure that I pick the ones with the pull dates that don't expire for awhile. There are approx. 25-30 slices in each bag. Makes them about .40 for each snack size bag. They don't turn brown either. When I am packing lunches - I just pull out a snack size bag of apples. I also do this same thing with carrots, celery, cucumbers, green peppers, grapes, strawberries.

I know I am paying for the convenience and wasting snack size baggies - but my family is eating the fruits and veggies this way and I am throwing out less produce.

Sometimes the convenience is worth the extra money. I am constantly throwing fruit away unless I prep it right away, and get it ready to eat like that. I might have to try them, I can't bite into a whole apple, so this might help that situation.
