I ordered 50 of the razor and 50 of the free refills wyb razor coupons. Today is the last day of the sale, and I just got the coupons.

So I know that I wont be able to do several trips to get these, I'm an hour away from cub, but was wondering if anyone knew the original price of these at cub. They are expired coupons, and that is the only store that I can use them at.

So I went to Cub Foods today to get my 5 razors and 5 refills, using the raincheck, and coupons for razor, and free refill wyb razor. I went to the front where the csm have their stand, and ask for grocery management, he wasn't there but his assistant was.

So I ask him if I can order 36 of the razors and 36 of the refills, and use my rain check all at once instead of driving the 45 minute trip one way. He said sure and gets the special order form, fills it in, asks for my name and number.

Go to cashier, put everything on the counter, 5 razors and 5 refills, get my coupons for both and the rain check. The csm from the stand comes over to show the cashier how to price adjust for a raincheck. First she rings up everything and it is all ringing up $6.99 original price, then she goes in and adjust them all down to $2.50!!

Well the sale price I got for the raincheck should have been 2/$10, making them $5 each. So I look at the rain check in my hand, the csm had the other, and the cashier who wrote out the rain check put in the wrong amount, instead of 2/$10 she wrote 2/$5. So now she takes off all the free razor coupons, and then the 5 of the $4 off razor coupon price adjusting them down to the $2.50, so I walked out paying tax, a whopping $1.75!!!

I'm so excited, I hand her $2 in cash and she hands me my quarter and receipt. I walk out to the car and ask my DH if he every saved 100% at a store, he said, no, and I show him my receipt. Of course he can't read heads or tails of it, or understand how I did it.

Then we go to the fuel express where I use three gas coupons and save 14cents off gas.

I called cub in Willmar MN, and the regular price is $6.99 for the razor and the refill.

Well I went yesterday to get in on the last day of the sale, and ask for a rain check.

I got 9 of the razors and 9 refills. Brought that to the register, and the cashier rings everything up, $96.30, I hand her my coupons, she scans all of them, new total $15.30, a savings of 90%!!! I have never had above 80% savings, so was so excited.

I ask for a raincheck, and what the limit is on them. She asks a lady that works the front end, and I tell her that I would like to have at least a limit of 40 of each, if possible.

So they call the grocery manager (?)

Cashier: tells him that I want a raincheck and is showing him the free refill coupon

Grocery manager: looks up at me and says that they can't give rainchecks on coupons, it is only allowed one per product

Me: I laugh, (never heard of rainchecks for coupons) I said that I wanted the raincheck for the razor and refills at the sale price, but needed to know what the limit was

Grocery manager: is talking to the cashier now

Me: I tell them that the sale price is 2/$10 so $5 each, and there was no more left on the shelf, that I was wanting to buy at least 40 more of each.

Grocery manager: approves both rain checks for ........ 100 of each, then tells me that they don't keep a big stock on them, said maybe a dozen at a time, but then before he left, told me that he didn't care if I came in every week and cleaned the shelf.

Me: WOW, I couldn't thank him enough

So now I'm wondering if I should push my luck and ask him to order me 40 of each next time I'm in the store so I don't have to drive back and forth??!!

Great job Lynda...I know it's harder to get all the deals put together when you live further from the stores and never know what they have in stock.
