Just an FYI for any other Buffalo people here: I just called the store to confirm that the Buffalo location does indeed accept expired coupons up to 90 days past date.

I don't know if this belongs here, but at my Cub (Monticello, not sure if it is policy everywhere) if they overcharge you for something, and you take it to CS, they will give you back the entire purchace price for that item (up to $5 I think.) I have gotten quite a few free items just by double checking my reciept before leaving the store.

I think most Cub Foods do that. I think it is more than $5 though, because I got 3 lbs of ground beef $8.99 free after it rung up wrong. They will only give you one free if you bought multiples though.

| Seriously? I have had multiple incorrect receipts, and they only give me the difference when I go to CS. Is this written anywhere?

It must be written somewhere. Next time I would ask them if that is still their policy. I have had them do this at the West St Paul store and the Arden Hills one, so it is not just one store.

If they say manufacturer coupon at all, you cannot use another manufacturer coupon.

Since Cub takes Expired Coupons...I assume if I have an Expired CAT or OYNO coupon- that they will take that also? Just want to be sure. TIA |

I have used expired Cats before with no problem. I have never had an expired OYNO - I guess I use those up so fast I have never had them that long, but as long as it said MFG on the top, it should work just the same as the others.

I miss Cub Foods here. We gained Food4Less, which I heard ran Cub Foods out of town. Food4Less has competitive prices. They just don't seem as fancy smancy as Cub Foods were. We later got a store called Ultra-they're alright. Just too far for me.

This may have already been cleared up. But a lot of different grocery stores have this same policy here. I remember Cubs were just like the rest. I must note that you have to be the one who says I want it free, if it scans different from shelf or sale price. No cashier has ever volunteered and said you get it free since it rang up wrong. If you bought multiples, then you would get the 1st one free. You would get the difference for each additional item obviously because it is still that price. I recall way back one time they just never bothered to change the wrong price on a certain item. And sure enough I kept getting it free every time it rang up wrong. This has actually happened on many occasions where I may return to a certain store and then I would wonder to myself if that particular item is still ringing up wrong. I don't feel the least bit bad because it is there policy. And I think it is a great one too. They need to have some kind of policy where if you find something that's outdated-then you get one fresh free. I can't tell you how many times I come across a store with expired products. It just concerns me for those individuals who may not be as a proactive shopper as myself. One reason I know the store is trying to get over because all the fresh dates will be in the back. That means someone had to take the time to adjust and restock the shelf.

| can i use coupons after the fact?
got home from cub only to realize I had 2 valuable coupons I forgot to use(for the record I hate coupons with a passion, just give me the best price). Both were in Cubs coupon book, one was for $4.90 off 2lbs of bacon, and the other was $5 off of an order of $50 or more(I spent 58.22). Would I be able to bring my reciept along with the coupons and get a refund? It's the buffalo, mn cub if that helps. thanks in advance. |

Are there still Cubs that take expired coupons that are older than 90 days past the expiration? Like Eden Prairie and 5 months? If so, which ones un the Twin Cities? I'm in Hopkins, so the EP one might be worth the drive...

| As far as I know, EP is the only one that is longer than 90 days at the five months you mentioned.

I know Cub accepts manufacturers q's for 90 days past expiration. They do not accept expired store coupons though. My question is: What about the manufacturers coupons in the store ads? They generally expire at the end of the week. Since they are Manu q's, can you use them up to 90 days later? Or do these fall under store coupons rules even though they are technically manufacturer? I have never kept my old Cub ads, but these could be very valuble if they were allowed to be used for up to 90 days. |
