Hi everybody, I hope this is allowed to post and if not I am sorry for posting it.

I ran into a problem today at a store... I won't go into specifics but the gist of it is, I got 12$ more then I was suppose to off my receipt by accident (accident on my part) because of my coupons. This was a total accident and mistake and in no way intentional. I am so worried about it and I feel terrible... I don't know what I should do. I feel like I shoplifted 12$ worth of merchandise or something even though I paid for everything legit, I just messed up on some items and coupons.

Any advice on what I should do? I'm afraid next time I walk into the store they are going to call the cops on me and ban me from going there ever again or something...

You should go back to the store, explain the situation, and give the $12 back. They may say to keep it as they should have caught the problem. However, you should do the right thing and go back. It will endear you to them in the long run I think.

I would go back, $12.00 not worth feeling that way, just explain it was a mistake on your part, and you realized after you went home. We all been there... once by chance I discovered cashier did not ring pair of shoes, and I went back and show it to her, another time my kiddies pulled bag of candy bars and droped into the basket underneath the stroller... I spend extra 25 min loading them back into the stroller to return $2.50 worth of candy...
