What is the difference between DND-5 and DND-9?

Some coupons say "Do not double"(DND) but the code they scan begins with a "5". If it begins with a "5", it will double/triple unless the cashier overrides it. However, if a coupon says "Do not double" and the code begins with a "9", it will automatically not double. Hence, DND-5 and DND-9. HTH
