 Prompted by a little visit to the ER...
So last night my son bailed off of his potty chair (the kind that sit on the big potty) and I caught him but it didn't stop him from busting his head open on our porcelain trashcan, and busting it I might add. It was bleeding and knotted up pretty bad so we visited the ER for about 3 hours last night. To avoid future falls from the potty, I am wanting to invest in one of the little potties. Does ANYONE know where I can get one reasonably? On clearance? I would appreciate it A TON! Thank you everyone for all the suggestions! I will definitely be visiting some of the retail shops tomorrow. I live in a small town so I'm hoping I can find what I'm looking for. Last edited by lroneal; 11-05-2009 at 01:00 PM. OH BOY! I am so sorry the little guy got hurt...hope this doesn't set back the training part and hope his head is feeling better today I don't have any advice on a potty! Just wanted to show my support

I know this sounds weird, but look at resale. THey often have ones that haven't even been opened. I got one for Connor for $3, still in the box. I bleached it just in case and it was fine.

Definitely try consignment shops! The plastic ones can always be rinsed in bleach to sanitize them for your little guy. My brother did (almost) the same thing when he was potty training. Instead of the trashcan though he hit the corner of the counter. And being the helpful big sister that I was, I saw the blood and immediately threw up ( I was probably about 12). I can't believe my poor mother had 4 of us!

I got a super cute one at TJ Maxx for like $12.99...it looks just like a mini toilet and even dispenser stickers when you "flush"!

 Problem Solved!
Thank you to eveyone. I went to a resale shop today and bought one for $3. Its not a fancy one or anything but it will do....
