Hello!

I went to Wags today to use my Rimmel BOGO coupon and had a slightly bad experience. I was purchasing:

Starbucks Frapp (with my $1 Q)
2 packs of the Glade Scented Oil Refills (with a $3 off Q)
Quilted Northern T.P. (with my $1 off Q)
and the make up: 1 eyeliner and 1 mascara, each valued at $7.99

I placed all my items on the cash register area and then presented my coupons, and when the clerk got to my Rimmel one she said "I hope you know this should be illegal--this coupon is all black and my pen won't write on here so I can't write in the amount". I said to her that I was really sorry, how annoying that it happens to be all black, and I'll try and remember to put some white-out on next time so they can write on it....then she ripped it in half and crumpled it up and said it wasn't "valid" anyway....I said "like, expired?" and she said "yes! and you can get me in a lot of trouble for trying to use it!" I apologized and told her I'd still buy the makeup and I was very sorry for her trouble.....then went back to work (because I was on my lunch break) and recalled that when I presented her with the coupons she seemed irritated with me to begin with--for having all the coupons.

However, it's quite possible that it was expired and I should watch my dates better.

My question is, does anyone have this coupon still, and can tell me what the experation date is? I'm sure it was my fault and I just overlooked the date!

I think that coupon was good until 10/31 .. I had the same q, I believe from all you. Sorry she did that to you. Keep you chin up and I would think about emailing corp. or a call. You have no control over how the manufacture made the coupon. Soo not your fault!!!

Ya know, it's just been one of those days! I work at Bath and Body Works as my second job while I'm putting myself through school, so I feel for customer service employees. It just gets under my skin that I had the right to use the coupon, and that employee discarded it, then told me I could have gotten her in trouble because I tried to use it.

To finish off my little "rant" here--I went thru McDonald's drive through today, and after they said "would you like to try a real fruit smoothie today?" I said "no thank you, can I please have a medium coffee with 1 cream and 2 splendas?" and the guy said "I don't know, can you?!" so I rephrased myself and said "may I have a medium coffee with 1 cream and 2 splendas?"......anyway I got my coffee and it was delicious but WHAT IN THE WORLD! My gosh!!

I've never written a complaint but I think I'm going to about the Wags thing. Like I told my mom, I know it's "just a coupon" but it means a lot to me that I get to use them! It's like my little collection and it feels so good to save money! Like I said, it's just been one of those days!

OMG!!! I cant believe she did that!!! I would definately call. She has no right to throw your q's in the trash, she could have just given back. Please call the manager or corporate so she dosn't do this to others!!!!

So sorry it's been a crummy day! You handled that Wags cashier a lot better than I would have. I would have made her give me that coupon back and checked the date myself. She probably wanted it for herself and taped it back together after you left! The guy at McDonalds -- well that was just uncalled for! Good grief -- you weren't going to English class. After what you already had been through, you shoulda pulled his shirt through the window and popped him upside the head for being disrespectful!! Either way, I'd complain at both places. Hope your evening is better.

I used my coupon on Sunday at walgreens with no problem. I don't remember what the date was on it but they didn't say anything about it being black or being expired. Sorry to hear about your experience.

LOL, when I paid for my stinkin' coffee at McDonald's I barely stopped when I handed off my money to pay! I just stuck it in his hand and kept on rollin' through! ! It's midterm week, also....so these little run on's just were NOT necessary!

Just an FYI...I emailed corporate about the Wags thing. I told them very nicely how disappointed I was that I didn't get to use my coupon and I don't normally buy my makeup at Walgreens, this was like a chance to test it out; and it did not go well!

I got home and complained to my wonderful boyfriend about everything and he said the same thing--the lady probably taped it back together and used it herself! LOL!

Sometimes you just gotta laugh it off, I guess!

I totally understand thinking it is just a coupon but as we all know that is money for us. And like you I value all my coupons !!

Any if you had been considerate enough to do that, she would have probably ripped it up, too. Sorry you had a bad time!

Please call somebody,anybody on her because it should be illegal to treat anyone like that.and it is because of coustomers that she has a job.i went to wags sunday and bought the zantac.when i paid for it the cashier looked at my rr she said what,how in the world did it print that $9 rr ,you didn"t pay that for it.i told her well, i guess they rounded it to the nearest dollar and laughed.she said i need to get my hand on some coupons.i told her what sites to go to,where to get the sunday papers and she said she does not have time to be doing all that.i smiled and went out.she must have been a fool if she thought i was going to give her one of mine, because we put in a lot of money,and time doing it. Can i get 1amen ?

Augh, how rude can people be? I used to work retail and it was no picnic but I can't imagine taking out all my frustration on some poor customer who just wants a good deal on makeup! And the McD's guy was so rude it's comical.

WELL, I'd like to give you all a little update on the situation! I went on the Walgreens website and wrote a detailed complaint of what happened, time of occurance, date, slip number, etc etc....only to get a call today saying (while I was at work, so it went to voicemail) and the message said I need to call back and talk to so-and-so about my complaint so they can better understand what was wrong. I called back, and this person was off for the day so I'll have to call back tomorrow.

I feel kind of foolish for this whole thing, because I feel like I'm dragging it out now....or should I not feel that way? We have a family portrait scheduled at Wags on Saturday and I'm not wondering if I should feel sheepish for causing the problems? Although it wasn't really ME who started it, it all started with the problem of the coupon being printed on all black paper---my oh my....calgon take me away! ha!
