Need to get a candy supply for the trick-or-treaters...

Can someone help me get the most candy for my money???

Here is my plan:

Print off as many Zantac IP's as I can come up with. I already have 2, and DH is printing off more at work for me.

Buy Zantac at Wags all week, because it is a $5 MM. If I can get 6 q's that's $30 in "free" money. I doubt my Wags will stock well so 6 is about the most I think I'll be able to come up with. I have a friend who takes Zantac so I'll give her the meds.

Then the next week I'll buy candy at Wags.

Even if you don't have RR's already to roll... you can print off 2 Zantac q's... they'll cost you $4 apiece... so you'll spend $8 but you'll get back $18 in RRs. Even at full price, their candy costs about the same as everywhere else, and $18 will get you quite a bit.

I used the Rite Aid ad and took it to Target to match this same price, for snack size bars for 1.88 and then used $1off 2 bags (man) and $1 off 2 bags (target) coupon which made this .88 cents to me this was a great deal although this deal will end tonight sorry I didn't read this earlier. Nestle fun size will be on sale w/o of 10/18 at Walgreens for $2 each. There are 2 different $1 off coupons at The global website of Nestlé SA and you can print them twice. So, 4 bags of candy for $5 with the internet printables alone. There is also an insert Q for a $1 off but not sure where it came from.

Also, keep in mind that you don't always have to give candy out at Halloween. You can give other items.

One year, my Food Lion had regular-size kids' Kellogg's cereals (you know.. the sugary type that all the kids love) on sale for $1.00 a box. There happened to be $1/1 coupons -- I bought 40 boxes. And I handed those out for Halloween. (That year I lived in a neighborhood that did not receive many trick-or-treaters)

Another year, I was able to get 4 packs of pudding for free. Yes, I bought tons and gave out 4 packs for Halloween.

This year, I managed to get those icky (IMHO) "fruit" snacks for real cheap, almost free. I think I have enough of those to hand out. I think. It depends if I decide to use some to stuff the pinata for our Halloween party.

Were not doin the candy thing this year. Alot of sales on the fruit snacks so that is what we are giving away.

The wags deal looks good to me..I have no ink left though so i will hve to see if I can find some insert q's. Unfortunately I did not get in on any other deals for fruit snacks, cereal cups or anything else Would have been nice though!

sometimes when i run out of ink (like now!) i go to the library and print out coupons. it costs only 10 cents a page. i also go to my friends and print out q's on their puters. my one buddy is amazed by what i can do with coupons but she herself barely ever uses them and NEVER prints them so i print my extras at her place.
