Hey everybody... I am getting back on the road to healthy eating & I need some help..... I have been couponing now for about 6 months & it seems that all the gds are on items that are high in fat & way over processed foods... Has anyone ever thought about starting a forum JUST for healthing eating at the normal grocery stores like HT, FL, etc.... Any help would be appreciated. I am doing WW & would love some LOW FAT, LOW PRICED, HEALTHY foods to get me stocked up on. TIA

That's a wonderful idea!
I'm a very healthy eater and I too realized most good deals are for unhealthy food. I buy some of that stuff for the hubby, but realize I don't really get much out of it.

i hear ya... i have celiac disease (can't eat gluten- wheat) so I can't use a lot of the free/cheap items from triples, etc. i would love to have a forum that focused on less processed food, as packaged foods often contain gluten (and for no good reason!)

as for WW- check out kashi cereal and their TLC bars (2 pts, tons of fiber and protein), yoplait yogurt (2 or 3pts), light cheese sticks (2 pts), and progresso soups (some veggie are 0 pts per serving!)

I am on WW tooo! I have felt this way for a while now....seems like all the good deals are for junk and processed food. altho I do buy lots of Fiber 1 with my coupons. I also buy loyts of Kash go lean, F1 yogurt, special K cereal. There are coupons out there for the WW products, progresso soups,sugar free jello and pudding. Yes our job is a bit harder, I definitely agree. I also buy the healthy choice and lean cuisine entrees....Arnolds sandwich thins(yummy).Plus I guess we cant forget that we get lots of q's for H&B, cleaning, and smellies. We just gotta work a lil harder.

Yep, but post anywhere about free chocolate and watch the post count go way up! Of course, I'm right there with the free chocolate addicts. I have seen this topic come up a lot though so I think people just aren't getting together in the same posts to talk about it. Maybe post a good question in there and help increase the awareness so maybe you'll get more input!

I agree with you. I usually read about deals on healthy and organic foods in the actual store forums I'm looking in. Like Kashi in the Target forum, organic milk and yogurt deals in the Harris Teeter ad preview, etc. But it would be nice to see more chatter in the Healthy Couponing forum. Last year when there were coupons for $0.75/1 Muir Glen product, I didn't even realize right away that they were organic tomatoes. I think there might be a Healthy forum in the Cooks Corner, too. I'd love to see people's recipes for healthy meals using stockpile/coupon ingredients.

My boys were on the GF/CF diet and I found a lot of GF coupons so I know there are some MQ out there. I will try to find the link and forward it to you.
