I am stunned that I ran out of ink tonight ... I replaced my black less than a week ago ... in fact ... I think it was just a few days ago!!

I am thinking IP coupons are NOT so great.

Doesn't all this ink eat up the purpose of doing it???

If I am going through a cartridge a week I mean geez! Why bother?

Any tips ... advice?? Ect???

wow! how many Q's are you printing?? My ink usually lasts MONTHS and I print quite a few Q's (I get cheap ink online too!)

what is the printer you use, sometimes those really cheapo printers run through the ink i have a canon and its nice i print for about 6 months with it in color and print alot for about 60 dollars

Also, the cheaper the paper, the more ink it absorbs. Be sure to use the paper your printer manuf. recommends. It might cost a bit more, but with the cost of ink, it might be worth the higher quality paper.

I have printed a stack ... but not like hundreds or anything.

I have a brand new Epson printer that takes "88" ink.

I have an Epson C88+....get my ink online and works fine. I print stack and stack of Q's and I home school and print stuff for the kiddos too.
I use cheapo paper and have no problem with that either. hhmmm...don't really know what to tell you...sorry!

You shouldn't go through that much ink. Maybe your printer is set too high (standard quality of print). Go into the property setting for your printer and set to a lower quality. I did this and I have not had to change my ink for going on 7 months now and print a lot of things dailyn not just coupons!!!!

It sounds like the cartridge wasn't full. Did it come with the printer ? If so, they don't always come with full cartridges. I buy re-manufactured printers and lots of times they come with FULL cartridges.
Another thing to look at, are you printing in black only ? When my black cartridge goes down I usually use the color only cartridge. Works just as well. that way I don't do a refill until they are all empty. That way I only get ink all over me once !!

You can always buy ink cartridges online. I have a Dell All-In-One printer and the cartridges are $25 thru Dell, but I can get them on EBAY for around $11 dollars apiece and they last about 6 months.

I have a lexmark and bought ink cart. at staples and it only lasted 3 days!!!
I've always heard not to use cheapo ink or refills but decided to buy the ink refill kit at walgreens for $13 i think it was and it includes 4 ink changes and 2 cleaners. Not only does it last much, much longer and is cheaper but it works great! Cant tell the difference!
