| thread posting I've noticed several threads are in bold, but when I post my heading isn't. Why is that???and I don't see them show up under the new posts either

Your title of this thread "thread posting" is bold to me. Is that what you're talking about? You won't see your own new thread under New Posts b/c it's not new to you. Just like if you are the last person to reply to a thread, you won't see it under New Posts b/c again, it's not new to you. If someone replies to your thread, then you'll see it under New Posts (unless you've already viewed the thread). Does that help?

It won't when you first post it because when you post a new thread, it is like the author of it has already read the thread they wrote. I think it does that to everyone. On most VB boards that I've been on, when you read a thread and then click New Posts, the thread will still be there but no longer bold. Here, the thread will be gone from New Posts. If you go to the forum you posted in, it will be there and not bold if there haven't been any replies yet.

yes, it is not bold because you already read it [when it displayed after you clicked button] same reason it is not in new posts, you already saw it

Thank you for the information. I printed it out so I could review it. I was pmd by someone to join a beginners train with 4-5 people. I hope it gets off the ground. Thanks to for the information about starting a thread. Might come in handy some time.
