What do you guys think is a good deal on toiletpaper? Everytime I see toilet paper on sale in an ad I match up my coupons with it and it ends up being $.40-$.50 a roll. That doesn't seem like a good deal to me. I was able to get 4pks of Angel soft for $.25 a roll at Kroger without the coveted Angel soft Q.

At what price do YOU stock up on T.P?

To be honest there are so many factors. Each company uses different numbers of sheets and some are 2 ply etc. Angel soft type single rolls I like to get for as near to free as possible. Scott, $.50 a roll or less. Whenever I can I stock up. It used to be a lot easier to get a good sale on TP.

I guess I hadn't factored in sheets per roll or anything, so I guess that WOULD have a lot to do with it. Next time before I start bawking at TP prices per roll I'll figure what the price is per sheet. That might help.

Might also need to impose a sheet limit in my house. . Just kidding.

We use any that is free or nearly.

I will be getting angel soft 4 pk for 50cents after coupon, so about 12cents a roll. To me that is a great price. So will be getting 30 pks for $15.

I agree, for me it depends on the TP, double roll size, triple ply, etc. etc. What one costs I cannot use the same price standard for another. I can get the "good stuff" on sale with coupon match ups for around 20-25 cents each. For me that is stock up time.

I also agree, I have set my 3YO on a sheet limit - he enjoys watching it fall into the toilet and soaking up the water. I think he went through an entire roll of Ultra Charmin in one day doing this. Momma was not happy!

Free is not necessarily the best price for me. Previously, KMart had the promo of free Charmin multipacks wyb certain worth of PG products. With all high value coupons out for other PG products, everything came out cheap so why not stock up on TP? Wrong. I still have lots of them in the attic since no one wants to use them here. I figured when we ran out of TPs, their choice is to use leaves or Charmin

My family likes Angelsoft double rolls but when we got to try the Quilted Northern double rolls which were free at WAG last year with IVC and MQs, I stocked up on that as much as I can since it was on megasaver for the whole month. That is one of the best frees I've gotten in a while which we all like. I hope a deal like that comes around again.

With a huge SP of TP, I can manage to wait till another free TP deal comes around again. This time, I will be selective of what's free.

I personally don't like Angel soft AT ALL!! So I'd only get that if it was free. I think it depends on your preference and how much is in it. We went through the angel soft WAY too fast here. I like Charmin or Cottonelle which are usually more expensive, but I also found a new like with Quilted Northern which you can usually get as a good deal too. When you find a good deal - stock up!! Then you can keep checking until there is as good or a better deal. I'd get the Angel soft if it was free, but I'd spend a little on the others. I'm down to my last 35 rolls or so, so I'm looking (because I'm freaking out that I'm so low.... )!!!

As a couple folks have mentioned, I won't pay for TP either. If you are patient, a deal will present itself for free TP.

great question! I've been wondering this myself as I cannot find any good deals on tp and don't like Angel Soft. So I guess I will wait it out and see what comes up!!

My latest tp mission has been at Sweetbay because they are the only ones that carry the Marcal small steps around me. So this past week we go the free roll q and the $1 off q. I have 11 of each so I will go to Sweetbay and get 11 single rolls of paper towel free and 11 four packs of toilet paper for .29 each. That should last us for awhile (I hope).

I was having the same problem Melanie trying to decide what a good price for tp was. We use so much of it though that I can't wait around for free! I finally got a bunch of the Angel Soft Double roll tp (regular angel soft doesn't last long at my house either) and I ended up paying about 27 cents a roll for that and I was HAPPY..it was about 2.50 for a 9 pack and before couponing I was paying almost $6 for White Cloud regular 12 packs..
I like the savings! Hopefully "free" tp will come along but so far it's a no show here but I have about a years worth set back (if my kids can't find it..it's hidden in my closet!)...I can be patient now

I absolutely will not pay more than $0.25/roll for Angel Soft--you can find it all over the place, $1 4pk or $6 (or less!) for 24pk or 12 double roll pack. My Walmart has the 24pk/12 dbl pk regularly for $5.25-5.75. And I only pay that price if we're running really low and there's no sale in sight. If there are no coupons, a "good" sale price on Angel Soft is less than $5 (4.99 or 4.97 or less) for a 24 pk. This is the cheapest I've seen it in months (without Qs of course). With the $0.50/4pk Qs you can get it for free or very cheap, but I'm not sure how often those sort of Qs come along.

I think free is that best price but I would say around .25 a roll but it definately depends on the brand and type of TP.
