| Cheap Printer Ink?
Where can I buy some reasonably priced printer ink? I go through it quite a bit due to home schooling my son and you can imagine how much more I'm using now since I'm printing coupons like a speed demon. ![]() I use HP 21 (black) and HP 22 (color) ink. I haven't tried using a refurbished cartridge as i'm a bit leery of them. I don't want to buy something from eBay and not have it work. I looked at Walgreen's printer ink refill system but they do not handle the cartridges that I use (of course). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

I'd like to recommend a seller from ebay that I've bought refurbished cartridges from. I was leary at first as well. I've bought 3 cartridges total (2 black, 1 color) and have had nothing but GREAT luck. And he ships quickly too!! The prices are soooo much better than I can get in stores so it's really like a no brainer for me. Ebay username is "everydaysource." Here is a link to his auctions: eBay Seller: everydaysource: Ink Cartridges, Laser Toner items on eBay.com

You can sometimes get them at Costco, Sams or BJ's for pretty good prices on HP cartridges. I get them there sometimes when I don't have rewards to use at Office Depot for my office.

I got 4 filled for 25.00. They have worked well for me. 25.00 is what I would have paid (almost for 1 color). I'm going through a lot aslo since I have begun printing coupons. try nother walgreens |

Staples gives you $3 per ink cartridge up to 10 per month. It is not a big savings but it helps and I use that to buy a cartridge.

I bought some ink to refill my existing cartridges off of eBay before reading Amalie's post. I did mark her favorite seller though so I can always use him if need be. I have to say though, unless something happens I'm sticking with refilling my cartridges myself! I bought a refill kit and it's enough to refill my black and color cartridges about 36 times. The kit comes with instructions (no plastic gloves so if you don't want a few ink spots on your hands find some). It's so easy and I'm smacking myself upside the head that I haven't tried it sooner! I've noticed everything I'm printing looks so much nicer. The colors are brighter and the black is darker. I've printed about 30 pages of various things (okay -- mostly coupons but some rebate forms and school stuff as well) with NO problems at all. I can't recommend this fellow highly enough. I paid for the ink on the evening of 04/01, the following morning he dropped it off at the post office. He does ship via standard flat rate (can't remember what exactly it's called.. it's the slower method of shipping). However, it arrived at my front door on 04/04. The enclosed directions are super easy to follow. I had to peel the labels off of the cartridges a bit to see where the refill holes are located. The only downside to refilling your own cartridges (and this is more of an OCD issue) is that if you want to check your ink levels you can't. I didn't check my ink levels before so it doesn't bother me but if you are a frequent ink level checker not being able to see if your cartridge is 1/2 full will drive you bonkers. If you don't have a laser printer, I highly recommend it for cheaper printing. I got a Samsung ML-2510 & it has been a great little printer. A toner cartridge is rated to run 3000 pages. I found replacement compatible toner cartridges at Meritline.com for about $20 & bought toner refill kits from Lasertek Services for less than $10 each shipped. Has been a great little printer. The high price of HP inks in the main reason I refuse to own one..........
