I have 2 children and expecting #3 in April. I need 1 chest for my daughters room, but confused on if I should get 2 chest for the boys room or just 1 dresser. Help Also where can I find good quality dressers that will withstand time in Phila area. TIA Trisha |

If you have a Big Lots in your area I saw some very nice Broyhill furniture at reasonable rates, not exactly cheap but Broyhill never is but good buys HTH

I went through this with my girls. They shared a dresser until just recently. When kids are little, their clothes are little. Bigger kids need more room because their clothes take up more room. I looked around. I found very cheaply made ones at Value City, etc. I finally bought 2 white cabinets with sliding drawers in the garage and closet organizing department at Home Depot. You can buy all kinds of shelving to organize closets. I'm thinking they were about $75 each, but are very sturdy. I like the way the drawers slide out, very smooth. The cabinets are made of sturdy white formica stuff. White will go with any decor. Hope this helps, Diana |

Thank you Dmyersquin. I will check Home Depot as well. Do you have any pics of the storage, so I know what to look for? Last edited by Philly_Girl; 02-18-2009 at 01:34 PM. Reason: add something |

What about Ikea? Inexpensive but decent quality.
