My boppy pillow was thrown out without me knowing, im soo angry. I had it since 2002 when my daughter was an infant and it was in almost new condition because she hardly used it. So now I'm trying to make one for my son since I haven't been able to find the pillow (made how my daughters pillow was made) at any store. all the pillows being sold now-a-days are so not worth the selling price. The pillows are not stuffed as much and are smaller.

Has anyone made a boppy pillow on their own?
If so, how did you go about making it?



I tried doing the pillow and failed. Going for my 2nd attempt. After being angry for sooo long and going insane. I remembered I had put away the plastic bag my Boppy Pillow came in. I went into the closet and bam there it was. I'm soo happy, even though I would have liked for the pillow to of had been in there also

Have you checked at JoAnn's? Mine had a great quality pillow that even included some very easy cover patterns. I saved the cover and make one for almost every baby that I know. Maybe google "boppy pillow pattern" to see if you can find something?

If you want to not make one, check out CraigsList. There's usually several on there. The ones now are made to be more *flexible* around the middle, I think. To accomidate more body shapes, LOL.

I dont have a pattern, but my daughter recently had a baby, she was a preemie and we LOVE her boppy pillow, Lilly (My Granddaughter) LOVES to lie on it.

I actually have one and a few of the covers if you are interested. It is from when I had DD#2 a year ago but didnt use it much. It seems just like the one that I had for DD#1 which was about 4 years ago.

Sorry your boppy pillow got throw out!

I have the newer style Boppy so I can't compare it to the older style, but I haven't had any trouble with it!

It was great when DD was a newborn because it cradled her and she thought somebody was still holding her. The boppy pillow is WONDERFUL for tummy-time! I need to use it to help her learn how to sit-up... She's still working on that... DD is more interested in her toes than anything else right now so she falls instantly!

I got Walmart's brand, George?, before our newest babe was born. Never splurged and got myself one with the 2 older children. It's a bit bigger than the Boppy's nowadays, comes with a removable cover and only cost $20! We it! She actually curls up in it for her nap, we use it EVERY day! It has a panel that tucks into the bottom for storage, you unroll it and wrap it around their legs, it secures with velcro. Keeps them from slouching down out of it. Better than a Boppy in my book!

I just saw bobby's on sale at target i think, sorry i dont have the ads anymore, but i remember it because the price was only 15.00 which is less than half what they went for when i was having babies and got mine.

Also check second hand shops i picked on up there for 1.00 i washed it several times and it worked great, i still use them even though the kids are older.

Check out if your local hospitals have a breastfeeding center. The breastfeeding center at ours sold lots of nursing supplies and different kinds of "boppy pillows" not sold at all the retail centers. Good luck!

This is a pic of the pillow i made before I found da bag where my pillow had came in,its not perfect but it is descent ( i don't know how to sow). I'm giving it to my pregnant SIL. I'm making a bigger one for my son.
