How do I get involved with trading at afc?

One of the first things you can do is to offer a RAOK ( Random Act of Kindness ) or two so that you establish a small trader's rating. Then, post in the coupon area of the forum ( FSOT, For Sale Or Trade area ) what you have to offer. People will send you private messages if interested. Most people conduct trading either through PM's or via email - not in the threads since we exchange our home addresses.

Mail your trade out as soon as you and the other person have come to an agreement - promptness of reply is important. Start slowly, and don't be surprised if someone with a higher rating than you asks you to mail your qs first before they will complete the trade. It's the way it goes if you have a low trader rating.

You can also look at what people are in search of and contact them through a PM and offer what you have and let them know what you are looking for in return. As Mavourneen said though don't be suprised if they want to recieve your end first.

It also helps if you have a wishlist set up. Then when you post a message looking for a trade, you can just refer someone to your wishlist instead of typing out everything you want over and over. Here's a thread about how to set one up: http://www.afullcup.com/forums/afc-1...-iso-fsot.html

Post some coupons in the RAOK section - like an envelope of qs you might not use, or perhaps you have 5 of a great coupon. Offer 1 to the first 5 people who respond.

As much as I have figured out on this site, I still can't figure out how to leave a trader rating...thought this might be the place to ask???
