Need tip on Stride Rite girls' wide shoes?

I am in search of Stride Rite shoes for my little girl. She would need about a size 12 wide and tennis shoes only. Velcro only - as she is only 4 and doesn't know how to tie yet!

Anyone know of any good sales? My ds also needs some - but he is in a youth size 3.5 wide to a 4 wide.

It stinks that my kids have such wide feet that Stride Rite is the only place I can go - their shoes are outrageously expensive! I try eBay, but don't usually have any luck. I looked tonight and didn't see anything.

Any thoughts?

I got some at Macy's one-day sale today - woohoo! I got three pair in sizes up for my kids. One ended up being a little over $20 and the other two were close to $25 each. BIG savings compared to what they usually cost. I'm psyched!

My daughter has wide feet and I try to buy Stride Rites for her also \. I usually find them on sale at macys or Dillards, but I also find wide shoes at Payless and they fit her very well. Have you tried there?

Thanks - she can wear those, but for her everyday school shoes I do prefer Stride Rite. My sil is a district manager at Payless, so I probably shouldn't say anything bad about them. They aren't bad - but I think Stride Rite are made better for a child's growing feet. I also never have any luck finding wide tennis shoes at Payless. Maybe ours just doesn't carry a great selection in wides?

we have the same problem too !

Our boys were 8.5 XXW and 6 XXW,

I agree that they are very expensive. I also ask for a coupon when i am paying or get on their mailing and email list. I get random stuff from them with like B1 get 1 50 off, or 20 % off.

They are great quality shoes, my kids only have 1 pair of shoes to wear at any given time, but they are boys so it doesn't really matter.

We do keep Hunters shoes for Ty to wear, thank fully they will fit eventually.

They are expensive! That is all my son wears due to walking issues. I found a new unworn pair on eBay for a fraction of the price! I also found a cheap new pair on Amazon.com for less than $20 shipped. Just have to keep shopping around and keep looking!

Oh, and I found some on Macys.com that I purchased also too. I was able to stack two different coupon codes. This was a couple months ago, but just keep checking. Esp around the holidays I bet you can get them for a good price.

My DD doesn't have wide feet, her feet are thick, so most shoes except tennis shoes cut into the top of her foot. Does any one have any suggestions on a brand for this type of foot. She is wearing 5 1/2 toddler. Thanks from a new mom who is clueless on these things.
