Good afternoon everyone! This may have been done already, but after doing some research on how to figure out if the sale price on toilet paper is good enough to stock pile....I've realized that I'll have to know the square footage of each package to figure it out.

Does anyone know if there is a "master list" of each brand and their square footage?

I might just be dumb...hahaha

I do not know of a list, but I did find this (not sure if this is helpful to you)

Charmin:
Charmin Ultra Soft, 18 double rolls, contained 375 sq. feet for 9.97, or .026 per square foot.
Charmin Ultra Strong, 24 double rolls, contained 501 sq. feet for 12.47, or .024 per square foot.

Cottonelle
Cottonelle Ultra, 12 double rolls, contained 246 sq. ft for 6.97, or .028 per square foot.
Cottonelle Aloe A&E, 12 double rolls, contained 363 sq. ft for 6.97, or .019 per square foot.

Here is an "equation" that has helped me!

Look at the front bottom of the toilet paper package to determine the total square feet. Now insert a decimal point in this number two places to the left. If the cost of the package minus coupons is less than or equal to this figure, it's a decent deal -- basically $0.01 or less per square foot!

Example:

TP #1 = 400 sq. ft.; price = $6; stock-up price $4, so not a fabulous
TP #2 = 650 sq. ft.; price = $5; stock-up price $6.50, so definitely a bargain!

This is great. I have always had the same question. I would love the same information on paper towels - especially since there are big rolls, giant rolls, mega rolls, etc. I have a hard time determining what is a good price.
