So your building up a FSOT coupon pile. How do your organize it? DO you put them with your coupons you do use? Do you have a seperate place for them? Do you cut them out or leave them in the fliers?

Personally, I only cut the coupons I think I may use. I file all of my inserts by date in a filing box. Then if I'm looking for one in particular for a trade usually the person wanting to trade for it will list the insert date in their post or I check the database here then find it in my file. Sometimes if something is really hot and I know I will be using it to trade, I will cut them as I clip my inserts for the week and set them aside. For things like that I put them in a clear zip binder pocket like this: Amazon.com: Wilson Jones Zip Pouch Binder Storage Accessory, Assorted Colors (W61000): Office Products You can get these really cheap when school supplies go on sale.

I leave mine in insert form and put them in an accordion file. I trade mine with coworkers.

I cut only the coupons I know I will use - these go into my binder. The rest, I leave in the inserts. I write the date in large letters on the cover of the insert. Then, I file each insert (and its multiples) in a hanging file folder. For each insert, I print out a list of what is in that insert (available on this site), and put it in the hanging folder. That way, if the specific insert is mentioned, I can go right to it. If only a certain Q is needed, I can look on the lists to see if it is in the insert, rather than having to flip through it.

The military can used expired and/or unwanted coupons up to six months after they have expired. There are lots of websites that will help you with this. You can Google "military coupons," and that should get you started. It's a great way to help those who serve us.
