I am a newbie and having a good time figuring all this out. I was in the Walgreens subforum and read about register rewards. How do these work???

I will try to help. In the sale ad every week lately there is something that if you buy it has a Register Reward to spit out which is lets say $10 off your next shopping trip that just an example. The Register Reward is a coupon that prints out at the resgister and is white with red trim. Hope that helps.

So the register rewards is a coupon towards future purchases at Walgreens?? How quickly do you have to use the reward dollars?? *typically

The two ones I still have in front of me. The $10 Relvon was Expires 10/22/07 but the P&G one that I got today Expires 9/10/07 so it varies.

Yes. The good thing is I finding items on clearance that is working for it. Look at the post I wrote on Clearance RR so find out more.

one more question rgyman, you said that theres always something in the add that triggers the rr, i was just wondering if the add specifies what triggers the rr?

Yes, It in the ad you might see the little words save register rewards by the item and sometimes it in a box with the price and the the amount to get in the top have is in yellow in the box with the price of the item and how much RR and what the price will be after the RR. Hope that helps.

Register Rewards typically two weeks from the date they are printed. Each one is different, so make sure you keep those expiration dates in mind. If I'm expecting to have a busy week or two, I convert my RRs to gift cards so they won't expire before I can use them. I also do this if I don't see anything in the Walgreen's previews that I want to spend the RR on.

Do I have to buy 16 items and a gift card if I have 16 $5 RR??? Or can I use all 16 ($80) to buy 1 Visa Gift card? TIA

RR cannot be used to buy giftcards.
