| Most Common Items that you NEVER pay for or pay very little
Looking to get an idea of what the most common items are that you NEVER pay for or get overages on or pay pennies for... These are ones that I can do cheap/free pretty much all the time. I'd like to get an idea of what you guys never pay for. Toothpaste Toothbrushes Deodorants Shampoos (usually V05 or suave) |

Deodorants and Shampoo. I have to admit, I haven't been couponing as much and I recently had to buy some toothpaste. It hurt.

The recent Purex deal made it free (BOGO at wags) Also the Kroger deal where you bought 2 Purex (one BOGO) and got a $4 OYNO back made it free. Also stocked up on All detergent when Wags had it for $4. Used $2 coupon and $2 RR from one of the many deals they were doing at that time. Got lots of free stuff during those 2 months around Christmas. I haven't gotten FREE fabric softener yet, just very cheap (49 cents). Others have though, cause the prices in their region are less than they are here. Used Snuggle $3 off coupon at Kroger. Good deals always seem to roll around, you just have to wait for them and stock up when they do.

Sour cream! (.55/1 doubled, combined with a .99 sale) although I have to admit that there has been a dearth of both sales and good coupons. I had to pay .49 per package this past weekend, and it irked me. Sadly this isnt' an item you can really stockpile for more than a month or two ... it doesn't freeze well. |

Air Freshners~ Like Febreeze, Air Wick, Glade.... These are always free.....I think the majority of us...have enough to last a lifetime..LOL!! I think the most I've ever paid (while couponing) has been $1....and that is on the VERY HIGH side...LOL!! |

I've found a lot of what's been mentioned free or cheap as well. Add to the list: Razors - free after rebate, MIR or sale/coupon/RR or ECB. coffee creamers - either Coffeemate or International Delights, one of both is bound to be free after sale & doubled coupon at least one or two weeks a month. Tabasco sauce - .99 sale, .50 doubled a couple times a year cereal - major sale, coupon, store credit (OYNO) and Mail in Rebates |

Thanks everyone! I live in a small town... so my stores are Walgreens Wal Mart K Mart Target None of my grocery stores are listed on AFC except for Wal Mart I've done "couponing" in the past and gotten things pretty cheap, the usual, deos, toothpaste, etc... but have just started to get SERIOUS about it and learning along the way on how to stockpile free items, get RRs at WAGs etc. So I'm looking to see what the common things are that are always free or very, very, very cheap so that I never pay much for them. |

Ahh, so it's harder at your stores cause none of them double. You can get a lot of foodstuffs for free/near free at target, especially when they have the giftcard deals. And even at walgreens if you follow the deals. I never thought I'd buy groceries at a drug store, but using coupns and RRs together, I've stocked my pantry from wags too. Cranberry juice, craisins, pizza, milk, cereal, tomatoes, jello, mushrooms, bacon, and lots of junk food like cookies, pop, chips, and candy.

I do not know yet... I sent them an email today after reading the KMART Double coupon thread that starts Easter... I have yet to hear from them. I'm in Upstate NY. (Above Syracuse) I have ONE grocery store that doubles coupons up to .99 (Price Chopper) So I do use coupons there and double them if they're already at BOGO ore something like that... but they do not have any other type of "RRs" or such... so Walgreens is probably my best bet there. Thanks again! |
