it would be almost impossible to find a BLACK CAT COSTUME that would fit a teenager??

I have physically been to Meijers, Kmart, Walmart (ghast!), Target, Party City, a few halloween specialty joints (not only do they not have it, they are OVERPRICED!)... plus online.

No one seems to have something this simple!

Considering this is our "first year" of partaking in halloween (we've never celebrated this holiday since we are Catholic...we usually celebrate All Saints Day--November 1), our dd wants to dress up to give out candy to smaller kids, but does not want to be "scary".

She also wants a warm outfit, since you never know if it will be snowing in Michigan.


Any idea where I can find a cat suit?

In the days long ago when I had the body to wear a costume like that, I got a black bodysuit, black tights and then picked up ears and a tail at the costume shop. If she wants warmer, try black sweats. Make sure to have some face paint and she can be a black cat.

In the dollar section of Target where they have the $2.50 items I found and black cat ear and tail set I was gonna wear black velour pants and a sparkly black shirt with it.

I have a black cat costume...it's ears, a tail, and a ribbon with a bell on it. Paired with some eye liner whiskers and whatever black top and bottom fit me, it works great!

thanks for the ideas, *sigh*, but she is wanting a real costume, not a home made one (as she calls it).

LOL...if she makes me mad enough I will make her go in her regular clothes!
