| Re: I LOVE My Washer!!!
I have the Neptune Front Loading Maytag Washer!! I LOVE it!!!! I'm soooo glad that I have it!! I can wash tons of DH's jeans and before with my other washer I could only wash 4 maybe 5!!! He's 6'6" and his jeans are legs, legs, legs!!! I also love that the drawstring on the PJ bottoms and bra straps don't have an aggitator to get stuck on!!!! After the first of the year I'm getting the Neptune Drying Unit!! the one that has the shelves on top to dry sweaters and stuff without actually going in the dryer!!!!

I have been eyeing that drying system as well...wondering if I would truly use it enough to make it work it though. But, since I am a wash and wear kinda gal it would be sooo nice to hang them up and let them dry wrinkle free. Thanks for the recommendation

Barb, seriously, I could be a spokesperson for my Fisher and Paykel.....these machines are awesome!!! Go to the website and check them out.....they are trully the best on the market!! My washer spins my clothes almost dry, and it washes them so well that even after a load of towels have been dries, there is hardly no lint in the trap! And the greatest thing....there are no belts to break and the whole washer only has like 30 something actual parts!!! My dryer turns it self off when the clothes are dry......just go check these babies out......they are worth every single dollar!!

I have a GE profile front loader ...Bought it feb of 2005 according to my warranty print out ...I wash 3 loads a day (or more) x 5 days a week ....It doesnt like large loads of clothes but it spins the heck out of everything (gets them almost dry) and it has an extra rinse option that I use religiously ...My only comment is that you CANT SOAK clothes in a front loader !!! I am a SOAKER !!! I love to soak everybody's really yucky clothes - cant do that in this one ...so, something to think about ! But it has saved us money in the electric bill (dryer runs less) and I use half the soap I used to use ! Hope this helps !

We hate our front load washing machine. We have a Maytag Neptune that we have had for about 5 years now and it is awful. In fact, there was a class action suit against Maytag because so many people had problems with their machine. It always smells funny and small items like socks get stuck in between the tub and the front gasket all the time. Would not recommend it at all.

Don't buy a Kenmore, unless you enjoy it breaking down right after the warranty runs out. We've had soooo many problems with these machines. They are made by Whirlpool, so you'd think they'd long-lasting, but they aren't. My dryer hasn't worked in months, and I'm pretty sick of hanging clothes on every doorknob in the house

| Whirlpool Duet!!!
Love it! Have the washer and dryer both! We have the drawer unit that can go under it too! DH found the cheapest on-line price and printed it. Then called Home Depot and they stocked the unit and said they would price match an on-line seller. He went in to buy and they said no to the price match. Came home and called again and was told that he could buy it for the on-line price at 9 AM when the store manager was in. They matched and gave him an extra 10% for his trouble! It was a rare moment for DH, but I was so proud!

I have the Kitchenaide Ensemble Front Loaders with the drawers. I love them. They wash more clothes faster and they dry at an incredible speed. My load of towels only took 30 minutes to dry and it was a big load. As for the drawers, the only reason I got them was for putting my detergent in them. But you cannot set a 100 oz liquid bottle in them because they are not tall enough. So since I do not own a linen closet I stuck my sheets in them.

I have the Maytage Neptune set and love mine. They have fixed the problems with the older models so don't let that be an issue for you. I am still trying to figure out how to make mine soak [there IS an option, but have not taken the time to figure it out and I have had the set for 4 years] but that hasn't been too much of an issue. Love the extra rinse cycle and the huge load capacity, but it does take 45-55 minutes to wash a load of jeans.

I like the front loaders that come in fashionable blue and orange with the drawers although I don't understand the drawers.

I know--free TIDE!! Hurray! However, the rebate promos is for 3 full years...in actuality they send you coupon books for $250 worth of free bottles of the HE....maybe you don't use that much of it because at an average of $8 a bottle, I can go through a lot more tide than that in three years!! BUT--I figured the coupons will be AWESOME to piggyback on p and g promos!! |
