Please share your crafty goals & projects for April here!

I will be painting football banners, but I'm hoping to tackle some other projects as well.

OK, here are my craft goals for April:

- make outdoor pillows for our deck/patio. I literally have everything I need so there's really no excuse to buy them!

- I'm also making comfy pillow seats for my DD's play room. These should be a quick project so we'll see how fast I get them done.

These are my two football banners so far.

This project isn't my best crafty work, but it's been on my to-do list for awhile for organizational/functional purposes. It is a game/puzzle board to slide under my daughter's bed. She can pull it out when she wants and tuck it back away when she's done. So when she's in progress on a large puzzle, it's waiting & ready but out of the way. I had an extra 24"x36" frame with no backing or glass. I bought the cheapest wood I could find at Home Depot and had it cut to size. Husby used wood glue to permanently attach the wood to the frame, then I painted.

I made my pillows! I'll have to post some pictures once I put them out today.

I turned this girl's outgrown shirt into a summer skirt. It was my first attempt with using knit elastic on an exposed waistband like this. Don't look too closely at the pic bc my stitches are sooooo wonky! But it fits. I have no idea how I would get the stitching as straight as all the tutorials I've seen. I need three hands. Best part is probably that the shirt was a gift and the elastic I picked up on clearance for 50 cents!

Forgive me if this is a repeat. I didn't see it in this thread but thought I had already posted it. I bought this skirt on half price day at the Salvation Army. It was a weird adult skirt but I knew my DD would love the material. All I did was lay one of her skirts over it, cut it down to her size, and put in an elastic waist. The ruffle at the bottom was originally there.

I got a box full of really nice binders at the Zero Landfill event last weekend. My current craft distraction ( ) is covering the binders with pretty fabrics and turning them into photo albums. I just finished scanning all of my sister's photos so that I could save them on a card for her. She had those yucky sticky albums that the pictures stick to and tear. I wanted to transfer them into something that will protect the originals better and got sucked in by pinterest. Have a new glue gun and a supply of glue sticks. Look out world!

I'll post pics once I finish a few of the albums.

Thanks, tratra. I hit up my favorite thrift store this morning and ladies dresses were 25% off. I never wear dresses but they make great fabric and a starting point for making things for my girls. I have a few new projects to work on before the summer!

An aunt made us a wedding album similar to what you're describing. Can't wait to see what you do!

My craft for awhile now is making baby blankets. Our granddaughter was pg so started making baby blankets for her, ggd is now over 1 yr., kind of got carried away and still making blankets. Started out with flannel and crocheting around the edge. Now I'm using panels and backing with fleece, flannel or cotton and still finishing with crocheting. Enjoy going to craft shows/sales.
