 Craft of the Week (4/21-4/27): Kid's Travel Art Case
I saw an adorable travel art case on Pinterest. It was made out of a DVD case. She has a GREAT tutorial, but I was concerned about the utility knife and all the cutting. Then I saw our VHS old copy of "Beauty & the Beast" sitting in my yard sale pile with its big old case. Nothing to cut! IMG_0789.jpg Supplies: Large VHS case (like on Disney movies) 2 sheets of pretty scrapbook paper Trim or Elastic Adhesives (I used Spray Adhesive & a Hot Glue Gun) IMG_0790.jpg First, I traced out the old paper insert for the outside cover. Cut it and just slide it in. *Tip: If your case is a little dirty, like mine was, a cotton ball with alcohol will clean it right up!* IMG_0791.jpg Trim up your pretty paper to fit inside the "cavities" of the case. IMG_0792.jpg I used spray adhesive to attach the pretty paper. Mod podge should work, too. IMG_0793.jpg Then I attached my trim with hot glue. Elastic would probably work better. My trim is a little loose. Once everything is dry, fill with colored pencils, marker, crayons, paper, sticker, etc. Finished product on next post!

Very cute!! No littles in my house anymore, but a close friend has a little boy that I could possibly make one for, maybe with sports themed scrapbook paper! THANKS!!
