I thought this would be interesting

I asked barb to create this sub-forum so we could share some really frugal craft ideas. I used to teach Head Start and we had lot's of in-expensive crafts we did with our families. I hope everyone can find something to share.

when I make juice from concentrate I save the round metal ends. I like to place it on the back of a favorite picture and trace, cut the picture out and glue it on. I then hot glue a magnet on the back. It makes an inexpensive gift or addition to your own fridge.
My mil is 87 and wants nothing but she enjoys getting these and because she has so many family members it leaves room on her fridge or walls.

Fire Starters

Make a basket of festive firestarters to give as a gift, or use for yourself.

Fill toilet paper tubes with dryer lint, and drizzle some melted wax from candle stubs inside on the lint. Wrap with scraps of wrapping paper. Use them with your kindling to get the fire going in the fire place.

Brown Paper Gingerbread Men Ornaments

Use a gingerbread man cookie cutter to trace around on a brown paper grocery bag. Use colored markers to decorate them. Starting at the head, take a large needle with red yarn and sew 2 together with a basting stitch, leaving a 6" tail of yarn at top. Stitch all the way around, leaving the head open to stuff. Stuff these guys with strips made from our never ending plastic grocery bags! You can use the eraser end of a pencil to carefully push stuffing into arms and legs. Tie off the 2 piece of yarn and hang on Christmas Tree. Enjoy!!
