Storeinfo Joann Store Information

This is what I have found on the Joann Website regarding their online policy.

How To Get Coupons
Joann sends coupons through a sales flyer which you can receive by contacting them at guest.services@jo-annstores.com or calling them at 1-888-739-4120.
You may also elect to receive them via email by clicking Sign up for newsletter

Acceptable Online Coupons
The online coupon policy is to accept any coupons that state they are for online purchases or valid “in stores and online.”

Printing Coupons to Use In Stores
Currently you cannot print coupons from the website to use in stores and you may not use two promo codes on one order.

Rainchecks
They do not offer rainchecks online, but do offer price adjustments for joann.com advertised products for 7 days from the date your order ships.
Seasonal items do not qualify for price adjustments.

I am checking into the stores policies to see if they are the same. I will post again when I receive more information.

I have not found this to be true. As long as the promo codes are from two DIFFERENT promotions, they can be combined. i.e., 1 newspaper circular coupon + 1 mailing list coupon.

I do believe that is the store policy, I haven't worked there in almost 4 years but when I did, the rule was that you cannot use more than 1 identical coupon per transaction. So if you have a bag stuffer, a newspaper, a flier, an internet printed you can use them all, just so long as the bar codes are different.

go to joann.com, sign up for their mail flier and their e-mail. If you have a local store, there is usually a Sunday insert. JoAnn's is really good about rewarding returning customers, so there are a lot of pre-sale bag stuffer coupons. Also, JoAnn's will accept competitor coupons. So if you're needing them immediately, check for printable coupons from Hancock's, Michaels, Hobby Lobby, etc. But beware, there are rarely coupons available in store the day-of. And don't ask associates for coupons, it is a huge no-no for associates to have coupons on them.

This is for online orders only. You can only use one promo code if you buy from JoAnn.com. If you're going in store, you can use as many coupons as you'd like as long as they are from different sources.

I love their coupon policy, and just recently they got rid of their 90 day return policy as well.

Just wanted to touch on the return policy, as I had MAJOR issues returning a large amount of yarn recently.

First I was told that receipts over 90 days are not valid (which is incorrect!). This came from CS. They did tell me if I didn't use a receipt, they would give me the lowest selling price in the last 90 days on a store card.

When I got there, they scanned all my stuff and it was about $100. The store manager told me they WOULD be able to give me money back for what I paid for the items if I had the receipt, but the register was not allowing the transaction for a no receipt return of that amount. I didn't have the receipts on me and nobody was able to tell me why it wasn't allowing my return for store credit (I shop there often enough and it was honestly less hassle than matching up everything to multiple receipts). I was REALLY angry and emailed CS, they basically acted like I was trying to return stolen goods or something. After about two weeks of emails aback and forth, they clarified that the return policy is:

Quote:
Our policy also states that in a rolling 90-day period, customers are limited to a maximum of three (3) returns without a receipt and/or returns without a receipt totaling $100 or more. If a customer attempts a fourth return without a receipt or a return without a receipt that places the total over $100 within the 90-day period, the system will block the return.
I did not recall doing any returns with or without a receipt in the 90 days prior to this and they could not look up the refund transactions in their computers at CS. They ended up looking up my purchase transactions for the last year (THAT they could do, very confusing) and I guess it backed up what I had said about what and when I did the purchases, so they gave me the benefit of the doubt and sent me a check for all the items, including the discontinued ones, and arranged a UPS pickup to make it easier on me to return everything since I was uncomfortable going back to the store b/c how the manager treated me before.

Soooo, despite the bad experience, I feel they made it right, so if you guys ever have any problems with returns, take it to customer service via email and escalate to a supervisor if necessary. Phone CS was a waste and they didn't know what they were talking about, even the supervisors. One rep even told me they would know when I bought the items when scanning the UPC codes.

I should mention that I had to contact them through their Facebook page first and then they forwarded my complaint to CS, and we emailed everything after that.

As to coupons, I've been told on multiple occasions they will take any coupons we give them in a single transactions as long as they have different barcodes/UPCs, and of course, one coupon per item, with the exception of any % off or $/$$ Qs.

1) Without a receipt of any kind, if the total is $100 it automatically gets flagged and corporate will send you a check in that amount after they investigate it. Like any other store they want to make sure no theft is present and that you haven't done multiple returns like that in the past.

2) Without the receipt there is no way they could tell who or when the items were bought. I don't know why they would say that to you.

I'm sorry you felt like they treated you like you stole stuff, but it happens way too much at JoAnns. People steal everything from scissors to fabric. It's sad.

I totally get that! Retail theft is huge. I just wish someone could have explained that at the store, it was very embarrassing. Even the store manager didn't have a clue and it took a couple weeks to get an answer from corporate. It was really frustrating and I wanted to share in case this info could help anybody here avoid the situation.

Yea I don't get that either. It's really no secret, and unless its a new store or new managers they should know how the policy works. I've worked there for over 7 years, and even though I'm not a manager, I know how it works

Thanks for posting your experience though
