Dance Teaching My First Coupon Class Tonight

I am excited! I have been asked to talk to a group of 40-50 women about couponing and stockpiling! I get to present tonight at my church. I even have friends from work coming! I can't wait to see how everything turns out - if it weren't for AFC, I wouldn't be able to do it!

For coupons I will be using every day, I use a plastic coupon organizer. My tabs are: In-Store Q's, Fridge items, canned foods, boxed/bagged foods, frozen foods, cleaners/soap/air freshener, dog food/treats, diapers/wipes/baby, hygiene , medicine, paper products.
I also have a hanging file box, which I place my inserts in every week (date written on each folder). I also occasionally carry small plastic coupon organizers (found in the Target $1 bins) for each store, if there are going to be great deals that week. It really helps organize!

I average teaching one class a month either at my home or someone else's. I always explain to them where the many different places are that you can find Qs people always just assume it's the paper and are surprised to know there are other places.
I explain how my binder is set up and go through it with them.
I go store by store for our area how I shop at each one. There are 7 main stores that we have in our area which I use and I have a section/folder for each store in my binder.
I also go over different scenarios for BOGO, using cats with a man.Q, getting overage, etc. so they will know exactly how to do each deal.
My class usually lasts about 2 hours and then we have a Q/A time at the end.

Oh and the best/my favorite thing I do is before class starts I set up 4-5 piles of products so that I can give them a visual as to what kind of things you can get with Qs....my first pile is my $1 pile, second pile is my 50cents to 99cent pile, 3rd pile is my 1 cent to 50 cent pile, 4th pile is FREE stuff, and my 5th pile is products that I have made money on! I love hearing the gasps when they find out I paid nothing and earned money back on some things....I think that really helps to motivate them.

Thanks for the words of advice. Yes, I am a KY girl...Western Kentucky (Marion, KY)...about 40 miles east of Paducah. I am looking forward to teaching my class. I am going to have items to give away. I am going to have them to guess how much I paid for the item. I hope I can get others in my town to start using coupons. I have already taught one lady and her husband says that I can created a monster!!!
