I LOVE my mead 5-star zip-around binder with baseball card inserts (a gift from a fellow AFCer). It has an outside zippy pocket for scissors and stamps and a see-through window where a small calculator fits and can be used without taking it out of the binder! Inside their are five accordion files for rebates, receipts, and yet-to-be-filed coupons, secured by a velcro strap. You could probably find one at WalMart or Staples if you want! Best place for finding card holders is WalMart, 35 for $5.77, sold near the baseball cards in the front of the door near the cashiers. Hope this helps!

My favorite is the binder. About the only time I leave home without it is when I go to work unless I plan on an early am trip to wally world. Tonight it's actually going with me because everyone wants to see it.

I have three photo albums (holds 4x6" photos) 1 for Health & Beauty + Household Items (This is large one), a mini one for perishable foods, another mini one for dry/pantry food items. I usually carry a larger purse to I keep them all in there. Organize them by tabs. http://i41.tinypic.com/2eojz0m.jpg This is the picture of the larger one. Its nice to have when just thrown in my purse at all times. Whats nice is you can have a LARGE stack in each pocket without any problems.

I to use a 3 ring binder and baseball inserts I have found them at target for 4.99. I love this way I have just gotten it organized and now I do not have to dig through coupons in an organizer. I have 2 one that I will use and the 2nd are the ones I have for trade. I just taught my sis in law and she loves this method as well. She can come in and look at the q's I have decided to put in train envys and she takes what she can use to and then adds her extras for trade book. It is awesome!!!! Of course I learned it from afc and never attempt to use expireds anymore

I have (2) 3 ring binders: 1. Food 2. Non-Food Each one has dividers and baseball card pockets to organize them in. For Example: In my non-food binder I have 1 section that is labeled Air Freshners. I have 4 plastic baseball card slips. I typed a small label for each one: Air Wicks Glade Febreeze Misc. But my favorite is a new one I just came up with that I take to the store the day I am planning on "Couponing Big Time". It's very simple, and costs nothing to make. I will post a picture of it ASAP. |

I have 2 boxes....one for food and one for non-food. I use plastic shoe boxes with snap lids (if i drop one all the coupons stay in place), I used plastic index card dividers with a label maker for the sections...about 45 in each....I like very small sections so I don't have to dig for hours at the store....example is cleaning supplies, i have kitchen, bathroom, laundry, floors, disinfect, glass, furniture, misc.....I use to use the binder method and liked that better, but outgrew it very fast...btw i get 10 papers a week and I don't usually trade any q's so i have a lot to deal with.....good luck

Thanks for your help. I did a bit of a YouTube search on the subject and a lady there puts her divided coupons in folded dividers, this way she can just pull them out, get what she wants and put the whole 'folder' right back where it was. That makes a lot of sense to me. Thanks again

I was using a binder with labeled pocket dividers and that was working just fine. Then my mom got me the Couponizer for my birthday, and I absolutely LOVE IT!!! I even had two cashiers at Harris Teeter come and admire it today, LOL. There are spaces for food and non-food and health/beauty, and a separate section for your rewards cards, and even spaces for restaurant and other store coupons. Definitely check it out!

I currently have a binder , I love it but its soooooo big . What do you all suggest I get to downsize a bit. I tried pulling out the coupons that I knew I would use in a tripand putting them in an envie--problem with that is that I almost always find deals as Im shopping and need the additional coupons to go with them. I just find it so hard to tote around a huge binder and a 2 yr old-- I cant even tell you how many coupons she has grabbed from my binder and ate!

| my system
I like using the small photo albums as well (4x6)- Being able to flip through quickly works wonders! I use 3- one for food, one for household and beverages (food runnith over so bev had to go somewhere), and one for health & beauty (including dental & personal care). I then usually take an even smaller photo album (the 'brag book' size) and fill my coupons into that if there's a big trip I'm going to take or if there are hot coupons ($1+, bogo's) and stuff I need frequently. I have however been transitioning that one to dog related Q's and baby Q's (for babyshower items). I have an accordion folder (small) that I use for store specific coupons (target, rite aid, safeway, raleys, longs/cvs) and keep all my extra good local coupons in (BigSpoon Yogurt BOGO's). I then use one of those large reusable shopping bags to haul all these coupons with me where ever I go. I usually take my kids to the park and pull expired Q's while they play- the benefit of having my Q's in the car with me at all times. Occasionally I'll do an envelope with my store specific shopping list, deal list, and Q list (for needed items or expiring Q's) and stick all the q's inside. Whew. And that's my system (I really love flipping through to find a Q quickly in store) |
