I have a new opinion now after reading through here more... the CVS and Walgreens forums here have a lot of great info and since it gets all merged together it's easier now than I thought... but there's not much Meijer and Kroger info... so I'll probably cancel my CVS and Waglreens lists on GG, and keep Meijer and Kroger... though I may eventually cancel Kroger as well, I don't shop there much.. and never even shopped there at all until signing up for GG.

I think those sites are ok if you are just beginning or if you don't have a lot of time to go through everything at AFC. Me, I'd rather save my $, chat with my AFCers, and check out the deals myself. at AFC you can even be part of the deal game, you find something, you think of something, you post it. I like that part.

I signed up for the free trial at Grocery Game, and I looked at one time when I did the sign up and that was it. I don't think I can take enough time to leave this site to go and browse another. I love it here!

I started with TGG in April and without it I would never have found out about all the information on the web about couponing if I hadn't. I like the website and feel that the service is worthwhile, but mostly for the time it saves me. I just canceled my CVS and Walgreens lists because I can easily find that information all over the web. But I still subscribe to Meijer and Jewel. I may drop the Meijer list in another 8 weeks, if I find that I can get to that information easily as well. But I doubt I'll drop Jewel, since I don't find many people talking about the deals there. I think TGG is a good place to start for a lot of people and a great thing for people who don't have time or the desire to hunt for deals. MJ |

I Did the GG and when I canceled they still charged my paypal account for another subscription period. I repeatedly emailed the customer service and never got a response or refund. When I posted on the message board and I md their admins, all i got is an I am sorry. The reason why I am sharing this is to be sure to print the webpage as you unsubscribe and use a card where you can call your credit card company and file a charge back of the fee if they over charge you or continue your subscription renewing and charging your card without your permission. I liked their list, but it came out on a saturday and the sales start on wed. By sat when I could get to the store with my coupons pulled the shelves were cleared of the hot deals. At that time I didn't have a stockpile of food and that wasted gas as I would drive over to another cheaper store in order to be able to buy the items we really needed that day. |
