I have a question about this coupon I got in my sundays paper. It says free ground beef when you buy 1 package kings hawaiian buns & 1 wholly guacamole dip. My question is would I be able to use a coupon for the wholly guacamole also? I don't want to misuse my coupons but I want the best deal possible.

It all depends on the coupon policy of the store you want to shop at. Some stores will only allow the same number of qs as you have items (ex: you want to use 3 qs then you must have 3 items). The stricter stores will say you can use only one q for all three items because all three are listed on the q.

You have a couple options to try:

1. Read your store's coupon policy and figure it out yourself.

2. Try using all the coupons you plan to use and let the cash register tell you if you can use them. The cash register will beep if a coupon can't be used.

3. Talk to a coupon friendly manager and ask. I would suggest to look for a young, male manager because they are usually the most coupon friendly (I've read this a while back in an article and I've confirmed it on my weekly dealings).

4. Ask a coupon savvy friend who shops at the store that you want to use the coupons.

It does depend on the store, but I know where I shop I could use coupons for the Wholly Guacamole AND the King's Hawaiian Bread. The logic is this: The coupon you mentioned, is a coupon to get you the meat for free. However you are still having to buy 2 other things to be able to use the meat coupon..right? So you should be able to use 2 matching coupons for the 2 items you had to buy to get the lb of meat. That's how my store sees it. You basically have 3 items and 3 coupons.

The only way I could see it not working is if the coupon is coded a certain way that would prohibit it. We sometimes see that on BOGO coupons. Usually when the bar code ends in a 14 the coupon attaches to both items in a BOGO so you would not be able to use another $$ off coupon in combination with the BOGO coupon. But that sounds like something different than you're talking about.
