I'm new, and have a binder. I posted a similar question under ask the pros.. I love being able to flip and see exactly what I have coupons for, but filing is a huge pain.

This post gives a really nice roundup of organizational methods: Questions About How to Organize Your Coupons? Start Here, Ask Away Personally, I despise binders Many, many couponers swear by them. I use a lunch box with homemade envelopes sorted by category.

I have a binder that I keep at home (I should keep it in my trunk) and then a long accordion style for in my purse (but takes up too much room!) I have yet to find a system I like

I currently have a coupon purse. I am switching back to a case it binder with handle. It is just so much easier to use.

| I have one of those Z binders, OMG is it heavy! I need to just not clip any coupons unless I know for sure I am going to use them because I don't keep up with it and end up throwing soooo many out

I have a purple one and it is ok, but it doesnt zip, it velcroes closed and it is forever busting open. Definetly get one that zips and has a shoulder strap, if you're going to get one.

I have a Case It binder, it is so dang full of coupons and is heavy, that gives me a reason to take a cart from outside in the parking lot. In most stores it fits perfect in the seat part, I have a huge purse so I put my purse in the seat then the binder ontop. It has room for all my coupons, envelopes for trades, scissors, pen and some paper. I LOVE it. Sent from my ADR6400L using AFullCup

I use a 4 x 6 index box I got from Office Depot. I have index cards labeled into sections I want and it is easy to take with you and doesn't draw a lot of attention.

I had a binder, but it just got to be too much with a toddler and another on the way, so I switched to the file system. Easy as pie right now. All I do is put the inserts in a folder in my desk, then I pull out the coupons that I want to use that day why I make up a list. And then stick them in a envelop and bring them to the store. Helps me to not spend too much $$, although sometimes I still spend too much... I do also clip coupons sometimes and stick them in a makeup container, mostly the ones that are out of a all expired insert except that coupon. You'll figure out what works for you. Just takes time.

| Yea, it is a bumber when they don't have something or there's something on clearance you may want, but when you just don't have the time or energy to clip coupons out and put them in a binder or a box, then this system works great.

I also file my inserts by date.. I cut the Q's out as need but always think ahead in case you need to switch things up with a product being OOS.. I also cut all hot coupons That i know i will use from my inserts and carry those in an envelope in my purse That way i have them just in case..

I got a second accordion folder tonight. I just can't commit to the bulkiness of the binder, figured two accordions will still fit into the diaper bag. I'm thinking one will primarily be grocery and the other non grocery related items |

I use 2 systems....and I share both at my coupon workshops. I file my inserts by the date and only cut when I need a coupon....but I also will use my Couponizer for the coupons that I don't use on a particular shopping trip, or for my internet coupons, etc. This system has saved me time and made me actually enjoy couponing again....I don't feel the pressure to always be cutting, clipping and filing coupons. However that being said, I know that that is what works for me....it may not work for everyone else..... |

I bring ALL of my coupons with me EVERYWHERE I go... I have run into deals too many times where I didn't have my coupons with me... And things were on clearance... Now I don't have to ask the ladies to hold the items up front for me until I come back... I have empty Whitman's chocolate boxes with the ones I use in the insulated cooler bags... And I have a big file system carry box for all the inserts that I haven't cut... Just throw it right in the cart... I keep scissors in the coupons... Very helpful!!! No need to be discreet trying to save money when the economy is the way it is JMO |

I have a binder. When I go to the store I put it in a canvas bag so I don't have to carry it. I tried other methods but this is what works for me. I like having all my coupons with me at one time. However, you have to find what works for you and it may be something different. I can understand your concerns about carrying a binder with little ones tagging along. It could be a little harder to manage. I hope you find a system that works for you!
