Talk to the manager. They have to price match, and you don't have to have the sales ad, either. Check their price match policy and take a copy with you next time.
It doesn't matter at all whether you use WIC or foodstamps or cash to pay, that doesn't affect the transaction while it's happening, that's just another way to pay for the ending total. They're not allowed to refuse to price match, period.

Walmart actually does. If they refuse, threaten to call Walmart headquarters and your WIC office. It's not about what you buy (as long as it's on the list for your WIC) or how much you buy, WIC is only concerning how you're paying for it. I price match and use coupons every single time for my WIC and I never have a problem. If they refuse then they are going against their coupon and price match policy and I would turn them into the walmart headquarters for failure to comply with regulations.

OP here!

Since I first posted, I have used coupons several times for WIC. I have been getting in on buy one get sales, especially when a WIC cereal goes on sale, I get 6 boxes instead of the usual 3! I've also gotten free Special K shakes with a manufacturer's coupon for buying the cereal with my checks, and free Juicy Juices, too!

(I am in FL and the wording for their WIC rules states that these types of deals are ok with WIC. In fact, it says the store HAS to honor these types of deals, even if the free item isn't a WIC food! I LOVE this!)

BTW-- I never did get the canned veggies. I'm opting for frozen instead, and have been getting lots of buy one get one + coupons on those, too! I can usually get an extra $5 or more out of each $10 check!

I don't understand why you can't price match and use WIC, is it not like spending cash? I do not understand Walmart's logic here.

Here in Oregon you have to purchase your WIC items seperatly from everything else. Is it like that for all you guys?
EX. If I have a WIC check for milk & juice, but I need bread and eggs also, I have to do 2 transactions, one with my WIC items and another one. Just trying to figure out how that works when your getting extra items with bogo deals and such.
TIA!!!

Yep that's how it is here in NY also. And in some stores they have to call over a manager to have them do the transaction up.

I had WIC when I was pregnant and when my daughter was a baby. At least here, they encouraged us to use coupons and the store I shopped at, Fry's, allowed it.
