I use a 12x12 photo album that is 3 ring and have 6 pockets on front and back of each page. I added a small strip of The tacky sticky peely stuff at the end of each pocket since they are 4x6, but they are tight enough because it's really heavy plastic. I added a black handle to go with my blk and white paisley material that's covering the outside so I have one handle on the spine and one on the top that clasps. I have received so many compliments on it, and got it at hobby lobby 50% and another 50% off the purchase so it was 8.75 total for 100 insert pages and the album itself.

Thanks for the break down! Since I'm just starting out.. all of my coupons are alphabetical. Now that I've got a bigger binder, I needed help with labeling the sections and dividing. This was a huge help! ~Natasha~ |

Great post! I'm new to couponing, so this is probably a little beyond my reach at this point. Nevertheless, this thread provided valuable insight. Thanks!

thank you for this! you made it seem very easy! I was going back and forth between trying to figure out which method would work for me, the according style, the envelope, or the binder. I came to the conclusion that the binder would work for me and was confused how to get started and get organized! Your list made it easy and its what I'm using to get started! thank you!

Thank you for the info! I'm not sure if I'll start a binder or save inserts and write the date on the outside. |

I have my binder almost ready and I was wondering if there is an easy way to match the coupons to the deals in the sales ad. I mean if I see a good deal, do I go to that binder category and quickly flip through to see if I have a coupon for that item? That may be manageable in the beginning, but if I have 50 to 75 pages of food coupons and the same for non-food, I'll be wearing the plastic pages out flipping back and forth. I am going to be happy to do that if that's what it takes, but didn't know if there was a shortcut. |

This is so helpful! I am working on my binder and have been for a few weeks. I am actually to the point of putting all the coupons I have in the binder. I do have something to offer. I have the write on tabs and left several blank. When I am putting my coupons into place this has come in handy when I run into something I didn't think of. |

Went yesterday to Target in Pearland. Found sleeves for cards and a Case-It binder. Binder $20 and card sleeves $10. Dividers at Walmart for about $5. Have to put in a little money to make payback. Better to be organized from the beginning.

Thank you for giving us ideas on how to set up binders. As a newbie, I am unsure about which method to use, but am leaning towards the binder since I have been clipping all of the coupons for a few weeks now. |

This site is a great source for getting started! It's great learning from everybody's experiences. I tried to coupon so many times but have failed because of disorganization. I'd have coupons sitting uncut on my desk, in my room, cut on the coffee table, in a drawer...NEVER at the store when I need them, or when I did need them, they'd have already expired. What a nightmare it was! Not to mention my spouse's frustration at chasing the coupons all over the house. Having trouble making ends meet, I am completely determined to make this work. I bought two papers last week, and cut the coupons out with my daughter (she filed them in a little coupon holder-the ones with the rubber bands around them, and swore she'd NEVER take that chore again because it was SO tedious). So, now I have a notebook (a re-use from when I trained people how to sell on eBay) and am running out to get sleeve pages. Hopefully I'll be able to step out of my disorganization!!! Thanks for all of your help!!
