Ok, I've query searched for the answer, but not really finding somewhere on here with a "glossary of terms". What is the difference between doubling coupons and stacking? Is doubling using more of one of the same coupon and stacking is combining different coupons? I use coupons, but haven't really done more than using them on sale and promtional items, so I don't even know how/where double/tripling coupons are taken. Another question: if the coupon says: one coupon per item.. what does that mean? No other coupon can be used only the one coupon for that item? One more question: "One coupon per purchase" does that mean I can't combine it with a different coupon? Ok, I lied one more question... If the coupon says one coupon per item, can I buy more items with a coupon for each additional item? I did this the other day on sargento snack cheese sticks. The cashier said, "the coupon says no doubling." I explained I wasn't doubling because I had one item for each of the coupons. I was about 50% sure I was right, but must have appeared "for sure" and she rang in both coupons. ahh, this is a little daunting to get started, but worth the effort..thanks!! |

Hi! Doubling coupons is when a store takes off twice as much as the face value. So a 50 cent coupon would be worth $1. Not all stores do this, but usually they advertise it in the flyer if they do. Stacking is when you have a manufacturer coupon and a store coupon and use both for the same item. You can't use two manufacturers coupons for one item but you can use a mfg and a store. One coupon per item and one coupon per purchase mean the same thing - that you can't use two manufacturers coupons on one item For you last question - yes you are right. You can use two coupons in the same transaction if you buy two items. |

Thank you. I'm catching on. This week, I had a few shopping trips were I saved more than I spent and that feels good!! Going back this weekend to do some more shopping..I mean saving.. well both Ooh, I'll have to post this question in Publix forum, but if someone wants to help me. I have a BOGO coupon for Neosporin Lip Health. It says "Redeemable only at Publix" but also says "manu coupon"..which is it? I ask because I wanted to stack it with the following coupon: Save $3 on any neosporin lip health product. This is a manufacturer's coupon. If the first coupon is considered a publix coupon, I see no problem stacking them. But if it's a manu coupon, then I can't stack them, right?? |

It would be a mfg coupon so you can't stack it. In theory you can use it anywhere but you might have a cashier reject it because it says Publix on it.
