Just purchased a binder (was motivated by AFC Mickow (thanks a billion); wanted to know a couple of questions regarding categories.... 1. Does anyone have a list of their categories or a web page that lists them or different ways to categorize coupons? I know everyone has their personal favs...just wondering if there was one place to "pick and choose" what would work best for my 1/2 of a brain. 2. Does anyone out there keep their club coupons in their binder? Do you use a large pocket and keep the entire booklet (ie: Costco/BJ's) or do you clip those as well? Suggestions? Any other helpful hints are appreciated, (like, which type of dividers you use, pocket/plastic/tabs or a combo of all and why you like those)...I haven't purchased the dividers as of yet. Thank YOU ALL! You are AMAZING women that are saving tons of money! I hope some of you are treating yourself to something nice once and awhile. I wanted to pass this encouraging word to some of you that may feel discouraged, it comes from a close friend of my husband's: "By doing what you are doing, it is no different than using your time to work and earn that money, instead you are using your time to save that money!" I don't know if that sounds right, but I took comfort in what he had to say....I have somehow become a more confident shopper by using coupons, slowing down to "tink" about what and why I am making a purchase...even when other shoppers are zooming around and grabbing, I try my best to stay focused....so a HUGE thank you too each of you that contribute!!!!

I use the pages that hold baseball cards. You can find them up front with the cards at Walmart. They are too small for some coupons, but I just fold them to make them fit. I have store coupons (usually for Target) that go in pages at the end of my binder. As for categories, if you choose them, you will probably remember them better but here are some ideas. You can organize your coupons like the items are organized in the store. Butter, eggs and juice are in the same area in my Walmart so they would go near each other in my binder. You can also organize by category. This gets a little tricky sometimes because things can fit into more than one category. Like one I never know what to do with is cookie dough. I don't have a refrigerated category, so does it go with baking or with snacks? I actually bought some divider tabs for categories for my coupons, but it has categories that I won't use and is missing ones that I need. There is a category for condiments and one for salad dressing. I don't use much salad dressing and could put those with the condiments. There is also a category for pets, but not for babies/children. |

I prefer to keep mine how the store has the aisles. I shop at 1 main grocery store so it's a little easier for me to do this. I also keep my Target coupons in the front since I'm at that store a couple times a week. Here is a link to a PDF file that you might find helpful in breaking down your catagories. http://krazycouponlady.net/CouponBinderFixed.pdf
