Hello. I am new to this whole couponing thing! I am so excited and anxious to see what kind of deals I can find. I am planningon starting at Walgreens. A friend of mine has been doing this for a couple months and tells me how great its been. I guess I'm confused just because you get RR from certain items, but you spend a lot the 1st transaction or what?? I mean I have coupons for like $1 off the shampoo so I'd get it for 5.99, and get the $6RR but I'd still be paying the $6 for the shampoo!? Any help and advice is greatly appreciated thanks! I don't really have a stockpile built yet, just been printing from internet.

yes, starting out with no RR, you will have to pay more oop [out of pocket]
after that, plan to keep them rolling each week into the next deal so oop is low

start with items that are free after RR and add a Q if you have one...so in the shampoo example, you have $5 oop, but get $6 RR...so you are ahead $1

also, be SURE to read the rolling thread in the Walgreens forum for more ideas and what Qs can go with what deals

start buying Sunday paper and/or trade for the Qs you need
