Idea Newbie...lesson learned!

I am new to q'ing and didn't understand why getting mutiples of the sunday paper would benefit since you can only use one q per item. NOW I know why! Last week some of them items I use were on sale so I used my q's to purchase them...but this week Kroger has those same items on sale with double q's up to $1.00, but now I don't have the q's needed. How frustrating! but lessoned learned.

When is your sale through? Maybe you can trade for some or get some on the clippers!

The sale goes through the 18th but the doubling q's is for sat. 15th only. I have never traded...would I have time and how would I go about doing that? Is clippers coupons that you print from home? Thanks for the help!

Interesting. I'm also new & thought it would be crazy to get multiple papers. But can't most coupons be found online?

I think so. But from what i have seen the online coupons kinda follow what is in the papers. i have looked for the q's i need online and haven't found them. also, i have noticed that a lot of the online q's cannot be doubled or tripled.

You might have time.

The clipper sites are places where you can order clipped coupons. You pay for their time gathering and cliping coupons from the paper. If you go to the bar across the top of the screen where it says "coupons" and hover your mouse over it a drop down list will appear. several of the choices on that list are links to clipper sites.

To trade on here you can go to the FSOT forums (for sale or trade). There is an ISO (in search of) subforum where you can post that you are looking for particular coupons. Take a look at some of the threads there to get an idea of what to say. In this case I would stress you are looking for a quick trade because you hope to get the coupons by Saturday. You can either trade other coupons, stamps, concealed cash (CC) or paypal. If going with stamps, CC or paypal expect to trade about 10% of face value or less (plus they may want another stamp to cover their postage). If someone wants a lot more than that they are asking too much. You can also look at the clipper sites to see what they are asking per coupon to get an idea of a fair price.

Here is a link to the FSOT forum:
Grocery Coupons & Deal Forums - A Full Cup
and here is a link directly to ISO
Grocery Coupons & Deal Forums - A Full Cup

Note - some people will want to hold their end until they get yours since you haven't built up a trader rating yet. Since you are in a hurrry for these coupons make sure you check with potential traders that they will mail right away.

Thanks for the info. I have searched the clipper sites and have read through their FAQ's but can't find the answer to this question. Is the handling fee per coupon or per item? Say I order 10 q's for one item and the handling fee was .08...would that be .80 for those q's or just .08 for the lump?

It is per coupon so 80 cents. Plus then they have a shipping and handling fee on top of that too.

Can anyone give me their experiences with the clipper sites...prices and accountability. I have browsed around and was just wondering if they all pretty much measure up the same.

I have used coupon master, coupons by dede and coupon clippers. I have had good luck with all of them (although I've only used coupon clippers once) How close you live to them can be a factor on how quick you get them - I'm in RI so coupon master gets to me very quickly. Coupons by dede tends to have more of the coupons that will double for me though. Prices seem to be about the same.

I have recently began to use coupons and am trying to learn. I recently discovered at Kroger you can download e savers (link on their web site kroger.com) you can use this coupon along with a manf coupon (which my kroger doubles up to .60)
