I really need to get some ink (HP 3-in-1 printer) to start printing my coupons at home (I'm a newbie!) and also some envelopes to mail a few coupons I traded... anyone knows of a good deal??? TIA!! |

Check the walgreens site to see if they do refills for your model. if so call your store first..my local store doesn't refill, but the next town over does, so just check first. This time of year keep checking ads for envelopes. Last week walgreens had a really good deal so I stocked up then. I'm sure another one will come soon.

Most of the office supply stores will do refills for about $10.

Additionally, Office Depot will give you $3.00 on your store reward card for a future purchase for each empty ink cartridge you bring in (for recycling). You can use up to $9.00 at once on a purchase.

Staples gives you $3.00 store credit for each empty ink cartridge you bring in too. You get your store credit in the mail in a couple of weeks and then have a certain amount of time to spend it (not sure how long).

I bring my ink in to get the $3.00 store credit also, and wait till it builds up, if i need it right away, I just buy it, I need to figure out what to save on that too. As for envelopes, I go to the $1 store. They are only a buck for 24 some have more and some even have the sticky back so you don't have to lick it, they are good quality also. Hope that helps!

I got loads of envelopes...small and large and mailers too from WAGS when they have sales. I add them as fillers and get them for less than 50 cents a pack and even cheaper than that usually. For ink I buy online through several different retailers and check out through Ebates to get a % of cash back...I can get about 4 complete sets and 2-4 extra blacks for about $50.00 total...shipping is usually free if you can catch it right. (my printer takes 3 color 1 black) then I get 16% back from Ebates Its good ink for printing Q's and such and last a long time.

thanks for the post on empty ink cartridges at Staples. I have been saving mine because I wan't for sure what to do with them. Is there a limit to how many you take in at once? Also did I read that you could only use $9 rewards at a time? Can it be off of anything in the store or does it have to be ink? Sorry if I am asking to many ?'s |

On envelopes, I have had several friends that were holiday "card" girls, they use to just throw many of the envelopes away after they cleaned out for a holiday. I am not sure they still do this, with recycling and all, but it would be worth asking next time you see one of the card dealers in your local store, if they are just throwing the envelopes out, if you could have them. Just getting back into major couponing after a few years off, and many many things have changed in the last few years. |
