I started the sorting process by taking my Qs out of the accordion file one divider at a time. This worked out to be the fastest way for me. I only had to only handle the Qs one time using this method. Otherwise I would have probably started by taking them all out, alphabetizing them, then sorting them into the binder. Hmmmmmmm....seems like this way would have taken more time; glad I opted out of this one and went with the first choice. Let me know the method you choose. I love hearing new ideas! I now have approximately 70 sheets now (some are not full but I'm working my way up). It took me approximately 4-5 hours to complete this binder from start to finish. Man, it sure was worth it! You are years ahead of me with your coupons so your Q count may be extensively larger than when I completed this binder. Therefore, times will vary for completion depending on the number of Qs everyone has. Then again, you may be fortunate to work in a quiet, calm and peaceful environment and may be finished in 1-2 hours. LOL!!!!! That would be sweet!Best of luck and I hope your binder is complete in record time! Let me know how it works out!

Thanks for answering my questions. My husband is working all day Sunday so I think I will use that time to start sorting. Congrats and good luck!

I started my binder and ended up going back to a large tabbed file for the coupons. I just can't find the time to put them all in the pages But I just need to get my own system down and maybe once the coupons are organized, I can spend time put them in the binder. I found a bigger bindger with tabbed files in it TOO at staples on clearance. Bought one, but it's for our family organizing folder (almost done). I am considering going back to get another one for the coupons since this one is "the cadillac" of binders...hmm. Thanks for the tips on how to organize it and then how to use it. So far, I am planning out my purchases beforehand and tossing a few extra q's in that I would love to find in the store if on sale/clearace to use them on. Haven't braved the store with anything larger than a small coupon file that fits in my hands (since my little one will certainty chuck the binder down in the middle of the aisle). We'll see...

Trying to find my way around here and scope out the "tricks" of the trade. Great job on creating a functional way to coupon.

that looks great. I too have just started a binder but mine doesn't look half as good as yours. I just hope it helps me be more organized.

This will be my THIRD attempt at organizing my binder. I first did the "category" way....while it was nice, I was still spending ALOT of time going thru each category looking for q's. Second attempt was keeping the inserts whole, dating them, putting them in clear plastic holders....but this is also time consuming looking thru them for a specific coupon. I love the ABC method, I am very optimistic that this will work for me. |

Great Binder! I just started putting one together this weekend. The picture/baseball card sleeve are great for organizing. I need to add the zipper pouches for peelies and blinkies picked up in the store. I'm new to this, but I'm excited to see what I can do! Thanks for the pics and great suggestions! |

Ok, after feeling like I'm all thumbs shopping/couponing, I'm even more motivated to get my binder filled. BTW, our Joann's had 50% off zipper pouches at .50/each. Very sturdy (and pink..too cute!) Bought one for each store I shop at and 2 extra for etc. and dining out/apparel q's. |
