I'm new too. I get the impression that people that save that much are able to double or even triple coupons, using store + manufacturer coupons, along with combining sales with coupons. Except for Kmart, there isn't any place near me that allows double-coupons, and some won't even take internet/printed coupons. But I'm not discouraged - I figure I can still save quite a bit. |

Hi Ladies. I want to tell you that, yes, it is a little easier when you have stores that double, but you can definitely still save even without them. There are a lot of folks on this site without doubling stores. I have been couponing for about 12 or 13 years, but until about 6 years ago, no stores in my area doubled. THere are oodles of deals to be had. If you are like me before the serious couponing, I rarely shopped at pharmacies because I thought they were so much higher than other stores that there was no point. Just about a year ago, I really learned how awesome the deals are at Walgreens (lovingly called Wags) and CVS. You would be amazed how often you can walk out of those stores with free or nearly free items and Extra Bucks or Register Rewards to boot! Start buy going to the forums on this website of the stores in your area. Read the posts of deals that people point out. You will usually find out the best deals that week and where to find the coupons you need to get the deals. When you combine coupons with things like BOGO sales, clearance, and just a plain good deal at your store, you will be amazed at how much you will save! There are often things that it is hard to get really really cheap - fresh meat and fresh produce are a little harder since there aren't usually coupons out for those things. Now frozen produce - you can often really clean up on it! I hope this helps some. If you ever have any questions, please feel free to PM me! I would love to help if I can! Now hit those forums for your stores!! Sherry

Welcome. I'm still new to this just as well. I just recently found out that if you have a Kroger's card you can load coupons on it without having to remember the coupons and everything else. If you go to cellfire.com, shortcuts.com, or even Kroger's website:krogers.com/// all you need is a krogers card// if easy and fast.

That is awesome. I have been hearing a lot about this, but the stores in my area haven't started this yet. One grocery store recently said that it was going to ad a scannable bar to its store card so customer's could use the cellfire qs. Can you load up lots of the same Qs on there? Like, with paper coupons, I can collect 15 of the same coupon to use on a great sale. Can I do that with cellfire Qs? I am just curious!

I believe the cellfire coupons are more limited... I have only been able to get one use out of each Q loaded. But you CAN generally stack them with other Manu Q's!~ HTH!

Hi, I'm really new at this too, but i'm teliing ya ... you can get great deals. I've been studying this site - so much to learn from all the forums. And I've been studying the coupons and sale flyers like a final exam! I've gotten some great deals, and even a few free items now - a soap, a toothpaste. I dream a big dream - free toilet paper! BTW, we don't have doubling in my area either; at least, not that anyoneis admitting to.
