read To clip or not to clip???

I am new to the coupon world and I am trying to figure out how to get a variety of coupons gathered/stockpiled. I know you can't really do too much couponing until you have a plethora of various coupons. Well here's the problem. I don't clip like I "should". I don't clip hair care coupons because I do hair and have no need for them. And I sometimes don't clip food coupons because it's something we don't normally eat or that I don't normally buy. So what is the trick to having the right coupons when you NEED them?? Also, does anyone have any ideas of how to store my coupons other than a 8" thick binder and 42,000 business card page protectors? I would like a sleek coupon organizer but I still want to be able to see all of my coupons without having to thumb through them in the middle of the aisle. I wouldn't ask for much would I??

I use a binder system to. I divide it in four sections. one section has uncut(just 3hole punch) smartsource, one section is the redplum inserts, ond one is P&G inserts. I write the date on the front of the insert and also put like a page marker postit to each section of the date-i get only 2-3 sets of inserts a week. ok for your loose ones-those i have in my fourth section. I use baseball card organizers-those plastic thingys. They work well. Divide into as narow or as broad as needed. I only have a few. health and beauty, food, & cleaning prod. hope this helps ya!

thank you! I am going to try to go to a office supply store because I think you can buy a mini-binder and get those business card protectors to go in them. That business people use for their brief case and purse. i wonder if that would work?

I wouldn't go for the mini ones-I would get a full size binder-if your gonna store uncut inserts as well. if it is just the cut coup, that may work.

I cut my coupons. I can't handle an entire insert. I get much joy out of trashing that mess after I clip it. This coming from the woman with 2 full size macys and a kohls ad in her purse as we speak.

An easy way to start would be a small photo album...and build up from there...

I started with a small accordian type folder I got in the dollar section at Target, moved on to a bigger accordian folder and now carry the huge binder in my purse (or luggage as its been called!). Although I find it extremely annoying and time consuming to clip every coupon I might use and then file them...it's even more annoying to be in the middle of the store, spotting some crazy clearance and have to dig for coupons! I recently started 'dumpster diving' and I'm have a heck of a time trying to keep up with all the coupons!!! It's worth it tho, I'm addidcted and I need more!!!
