How easy is it to go through when you're shopping??

I have mine in sections (condiments, frozon food, breads etc) but I still have a hard time finding some coupons when I need them...and if you have 20 pages of lets say frozon food.. you must be flipping page after page looking for things!!!


**edited to say I just read that you alphabetize it.. that's a great idea.. I perfer catigories but then I could alphabetize it.. but then.. i'd have to keep moving stuff around each week.

I dont alphabetize each coupon, Only by the letter. So all the A's go togeather. I dont alphabetize the A's. Now that is just too much work. All I do is clip my coupons and alphabetize them on my desk. Then I start at the beginning and start flipping looking for an empty spot in the A's then the B's and so on. As I do this, I also scan for expireds and pull them out. It honestly does not take a lot of time and and so incredibly easy to find coupons while I am shopping.

That's nice I would need a bigger one I have a 5 and 4 inch binder full and had to go get a new 30 pack of sleeves at walmart.

Thanks for posting details about your alphabetizing system. I want to alphabetize, but was thinking the coupons would get damaged that way. It makes much more sense the way you do it! And a good way of getting rid of expireds.

OMGosh!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Why couldn't I have thought of that??? I have been racking my brain on how the heck to organize my Case-It....I wish I had the 4in...but, for now the 3in. will do. I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to steal your idea - I just never could keep up with organizing into cat., it would take me forever and I'd never get it all done and it would drive me nuts that some things could go fit into 2 cat. Now, I'll be able to get it done ASAP because A-Z is easy! And I won't have so many Expds before I get it all done now...LOL A BIG Thank you!!!!

I use a really neat little accordian thing that has 13 pockets (2 letters per slot) and a deep pocket in front to put today's lists in. ..............ditching it now!!!!!!!!

I know it will wear out one day, but when I see an item that's not on my list it is so difficult to find the coupon for it in the middle of an aisle!!!! And if I pull all my q's ahead and end up not using it, then I have to refile it! I'm assuming you make a list of groceries and then pull as you go? My son has this bag! He used it for a few months before I started homeschooling him. And he grew out of his Pokemon cards (6 3ring 4"binders worth!) and had them in baseball sleeves! They're all sitting in a box in the attic waiting for a yard sale!!!!!!! WEEHEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Pour me another cup plz!!!!!!!! Is it wrong to get so excited about a binder? teehee

That's awesome! You will love it! The way I shop is I make my list and do all of my shopping. Then when I am done, I pull my coupons. As I am shopping I make notes on my list if I decide not to get something or I come accross something that I needed that was not on my list. I usually park my cart in a low traffic area so I am not in anyone's way. I flip open my binder in the seat and pull the coupons I need. It is so easy! Also, a lot of times I come accross some clearanced items, so at that point I flip open my binder and see if I have any coupons for those items. If so, I go ahead and pull those coupons.

Did you really save $43,600 at CVS last year? OMG!! I can't even fathom!! You must have one heck of a stockpile!! I'm so impressed. Just started the "coupon thing" and was struggling to find a way to organize...but I'm going to go for alphabetize. Thanks for the pics!

$43K is amazing! But to SAVE that much, how much did you have to SPEND? I only saved 54% on my last trip, which though I saved 40-something, I still spent 30-something! So now we're really getting nosy I suppose!!!!! LOL

My out of pocket was more than 95% off the retail! So I spent around $2150 which was about $175 a month! I received quite a few RX gift cards throughout the year. I also had several yard sales which the money that I made I rolled back into CVS. You have to take into consideration that I have supplied my home with all of the basic necessities and even food from CVS for an extraordionary discount! I have saved our family a tremendous amount of money. As of last week, I have saved over $11,000 at CVS alone this year! I have only spent appx $400 in 3 months! That is around a 96.5% savings! I still blow my mind thinking about that!

AMAZING! You are truly gifted! Considering I married an impulse-buyer (and have a 3yr old that luuuuuuuuuvs shoes), I am happy with ANY savings!

I am definitely getting a case it binder. I am going to contact them b/c the pics show no strap, but the descriptions still read shoulder strap. Hope they have them because it's a deal breaker for me.
