Alrighty someone explain to me how these work.
LOL i love coupons but totally didnt know about rain checks.
I know ******!
So i can get a rain check for anything that is out of stock or before it goes like on triples.
Do they take my coupon then and make me pay or how does that work if i have a coupon.
All the help would be appreciated

Rainchecks are vouchers so to speak from a store to make good on the price to the customer.

If the item is on sale and the store is out of them, ask either the cashier for a raincheck or ask at customer service (usually done by the customer service desk personnel). Be sure to ask for how ever many you want (up to any store limits).

Hang on to this raincheck until the item is back in stock.

Then when you are ready to buy those items when they are in stock, get the allowed number on the raincheck, hand the raincheck to the cashier first so as there is no confusion down the road and make sure you watch the register screen that she/he does the raincheck amount correctly (yes it can get screwed up).... then he/she will ring the rest of your merchandise if any, and you can then hand over all your coupons, then pay.

I personally love rainchecks! By the store being out of something I wanted, it gives me a little more time to gather more coupons for it to make the deal sweeter. I always get up to any limits allowed for sale items on the rainchecks for this reason.... especially if the item is going to end up being free or very close to it.

okay what if the item you are wanting has a coupon that expires in a couple of days before they get that item back in stock?

Yes in that case you won't get the savings you want, but get the rain check anyway because another coupon could come out before the rain check expires.

Another thing to keep in mind is how many coupons your store will doule. Shaws for example will double six like coupons so if the item has coupons that will double I'll ask for a rain check for 6. Then if I go back later in the week and they are still out I'll get another rain check for 6 more. I will later redeam one at a time so all 12 coupons double.
