I haven't found an explanation anywhere so I thought I would ask. I'm a newbie and still trying to figure out the CVS and Walgreens thing, but I asked my local grocery store what their coupon policy was. It is a more expensive store, but the produce is usually much better than the cheaper store. So, I was hoping their coupon policy was great so that it would make it worth it to shop there more frequently. Anyway.

I believe she said that they double coupons up to a dollar. What does that mean? Does it mean that if I have a .75 cent coupon they will double it to 1.50 or does it mean that they will double until it reaches a dollar and that is the max I can get off by coupon. Does that make sense? I felt too stupid to ask the store so i thought I would ask here first. Thanks in advance.

not a stupid ? yes it means .75 doubles to 1,50

My store doubles coupons up to 50cents, so a 50cent coupon is $1 off, a 75cents coupon is only $1 off not $1.50.

Don't feel stupid asking the store again, how are you to learn if you don't ask questions? If you are unsure about the correct amount in what you were told, stop at the customer service to make sure they are understanding what you are asking.

Another thing you can ask is if they take expired coupons and if so for how long. One of my stores allows up to 3 months expired.
