I am still in shock from the time I was treated like a criminal trying to use the $5 off a toy purchase at Target. I only printed the thing ONCE darn it. I was using it on a toy purchase well over the $25 mark. They acted like jerks asking me where I got it, etc. etc. even though I told them it was fine, to just toss it out for me. I was spending $70 on the toy anyway - not much difference between $65 and $70.

Yes, it is terrible that stores and companies lose large amounts of profit on these coupons being misused/fraudulently printed. But seriously, does it make it better when you offend and embarrass customers who are trying to use the coupon legitimately - no matter how much they are spending and/or saving?

Not to mention, how often do otherwise law abiding people print these Qs and choose to use them months later. It isn't our responsibility to monitor fraud alerts on coupons we have in our possession. I wouldn't know the difference between a legit IP and a counterfeit one ... I bet most people wouldn't. I don't have the time or inclination to keep up to date. It would be nice if they would just set earlier exp. dates and honor the ones that get used.

*sigh* I don't know. But I do get embarrassed when they act like I am stealing because I get too good of a deal. Like I am cheating somehow because I put the effort into finding matching q's or use them on clearance items. I know it shouldn't bother me, but it does ... and it bothers me when friends I convinced to coupon to help their families out get the same treatment ... and then I hear the dreaded "I'm never going to do that again - it's not worth it to save a little money!"

BAHHHHH! I'm all vented now.
