Since I am new to this whole couponing world I have been pondering this question over and over and now that I have the pros on my side I though I would throw this out there for opinions. I have a couple of grocery stores in my area that will double coupons but NOT price match, then there is Walmart of course who WILL price match but does nothing extra with coupons or BOGO. In your opinion which is the better way to go. I'm sure it is probably all relative unless you know the prices that I'd be matching or the coupon amount but since I don't have specific examples I guess I'm just wondering as a general rule which way you would go. When giving your opinion can you also throw in the fact that DH doesn't like to drive to 50 different stores which are all in opposite directions from each other (ugh, men LOL). TIA for your help and sorting out all of this newbie confusion!!

Well, IMHO, I like doubling the best. With the BOGO sales combined with the doubling (up to .50) it works really well. I have been trying to see if the coupons that wont double, be better spent at Target or Walmart with their prices being a bit lower.

Even then I still take into account that that item may be on BOGO sale in a while and I would pay less then. And I take into account the type of coupon - IP's or not. And wether Walmart will allow me to use it, or Target for that matter. I just dont need that kind of mess. I have enough of my own thank you.

I personally save much more at my store that doubles (Kroger) than I do at Wal-mart. This is, of course like you said, all relative. I've price matched at Wal-mart before and gotten some great deals. But those are few and far between for me.
