1. I found the guy outside my local store and I asked him for extra inserts
2. Says he doesn't have any
3. Where can I get some?
4. It's ILLEGAL to do so
5. WTF? I really just asked Why?
6. Terrorists were running scams with them (HE ACTUALLY SAID THAT)
Claims there was a big story in Wall Street Journal

I did not mean go through the racks of papers on sale, I meant all the papers laying around, that have been bought and left behind.

Starbucks has a basket for daily papers, for customer use. I have been in there several Sundays around 4pm and the counter people can see me clearly. First time, after going through, I went to counter and told them I was just looking for coupons, they said fine, now I'm regular. I don't buy the coffee either. End of day they are going to toss whole thing in the trash. I am not pilfering in the rack of FOR SALE papers, and I'm not suggesting stealing. I don't think it ease at SB, or McDonald's, ect. on Sundays when they are just out for customers.

The ideas got me to hit my first Starbucks at Albertson's yesterday inside the store. I saw a Sunday paper laying on a table that looked like it's been read a few times and thought well I'll just check it and see if they left the coupons behind and my luck they were all gone already but did find a sheet with 2 Kleenex coupons so I scored on those. Didn't see any baskets of old newspapers laying around so I'll have to watch for them at other Starbucks stores, I just don't get out very often for coffee with a 3 year old.

He wasn't punking you. There are investigations of terrorism being funded by coupon fraud schemes, just google it. And it is illegal for them to just sell the inserts. They are supposed to sell you the entire paper and the inserts are just a benefit of buying the paper.
