Just like it says in thread title, the database is not letting me add coupons. Can anybody help? Is this happening to anybody else? I can put in the info, but when I click submit, there is not confirmation, the screen never changes. |

When I click on add a coupon I get a message that says I don't have access!

| EDIT: I didn't quote the post my response was intended for, sorry! My goof! Quote:
I suspect it's because of a dupe-check, but the screen never gives any reason for rejection. The reason I think it's a failed dupe-check is that I had just tried to enter a second version of the same coupon because I'd typo'd something in the first one (I think it was the description, or maybe expiration date). Except for that one field, everything else I keyed in would have been a duplicate of the previously entered one. Including the barcode. My intention had been to enter the second one, then go back and Report the previous one as a duplicate with the text saying it was Incorrect. I figured that'd be faster (and let me and other people flag the correct one with ISO/FSOT without having to wait for the bad one to be fixed). Anyhow ... now I know about this area, hopefully I can get some questions answered on "how do I do ...?" by reading / searching instead of asking ![]() Maybe someone else was keying in the same insert/booklet/etc and beat you to it? I'd try a very generic search, just something like *newman's*own* with no other search criteria, just to see if perhaps it's there under some slightly different fields but with the same barcode. Just guessin', mind you. Last edited by variousstuff; 05-27-2009 at 10:03 PM. Reason: added quote to clarify in-response-to target |

It can't be because of a dupe because it wont let me enter anything at all....so it doesn't know what I'm trying to add. It wont even let me see the page where you add a coupon. As soon as I click on the add a coupon button it says I don't have access.

Sorry, adark, I didn't make it clear by adding a quote for context that my response about it being a dupe-check-failure was to jmfrogger, the original poster, and not your issue with access. jmfrogger is able to get access to the data entry screen, key in all of the data, but not submit/save a new coupon. Whereas it sounds like you are locked out completely?I don't know what it takes to get access to the db. I had been here for a few dozen posts and several days before getting around to using it; if there was some criteria for access, I met it before trying to use the thing. jmfrogger could also have hit some concurrency issues, which would hopefully clear up by the next time. |
