| Coupon Network Coupons "Not Valid"
So, I could give the entire run-down of the multitude of experiences with my local Walmart, and how they are extremely coupon unfriendly (including a running litany of offensive accusations/commentary), but - that will just turn into a major rant-fest, and that's available on a few other threads. So, I'll just ask a simple question - has anyone else ever been told at their local Walmart that coupons from Couponnetwork or Smartsource aren't valid. I got into rather a tiff today as I was told that these types of Qs didn't have a "clear fraud detection system" and "don't state their net address." Thus, they aren't usable at Walmart, and indeed "cost Walmart money." The conversation devolved from there. Having a copy of the policy doesn't help, as apparently this store often chooses to enforce rules (some rather esoteric) above and beyond the official stated policy. You have to make sure to not cut coupons too small, as if the Coupons.com scissors don't show in the top right corner, that invalidates them as well. Has anyone else had this problem? How did you address it?

I don't know if this answers your question or not but I just tried to use 2 of the Nabisco coupons I got from coupons.com and Walmart customer service manager said they don't accept internet coupons any longer -- "a lot of other policies are changing."

I am with you. If they changed their policy, I wish they would post it. Clearly it states that they will accept the at home internet coupon, especially when they have the coupons right on their own website.

Remember the avent pacifier coupons? I printed them off coupons.com and target.com and walgreens and walmart said they weren't valid. Which I don't understand.

Couponnetwork says this in the FAQ: "If a retailer didn't accept your valid printed coupon, please send us an e-mail and tell us about the issue. Please provide us with as much detail as possible about the retailer which didn't accept your valid printed coupon specifically the store/chain name, location (street, city, state zip), store phone, manager's name, as well as the specific coupon you were attempting to use and where you accessed it." Use this page to Contact Catalina There is a drop down menu where you can select "Redeeming Print-At-Home coupons at the store" and provide the above info. Hopefully, you'll get to use these IPs soon at that store. Good luck! |

Thanks. ![]() At this point, I'm going to go use them at Target, as - I only visit that Walmart when it's of dire neccessity, because of this very issue. Not only do they refuse coupons for a list of random reasons, but because they make really offensive and accusatory commentary when doing so. It's really frustrating that Walmart advertises in its Sunday inserts how big it is on accepting coupons, when the experience at the local store is very much YMMV. Argh. Anyways, I'll let Coupon Network know about the experience. ![]() Is there anyway of contacting Smartsource directly as well? As, I doubt a letter I print off is going to convince this crew, they'll likely accuse me of making it as well.

I too mostly use printed coupon, because our papers are mostly ads. I shop mostly at Walmart, because they tend to be a bit cheaper and they price match. I have noticed the prices creeping up there on certain things, like laundry soap. If they stopped taking printed coupons, there is a very high chance I'd start doing my grocery shopping at Pick n Save. To answer the OP's question, I recently used a couple coupon network coupons at Walmart with no problems. Sorry to hear of your troubles, hoping this isn't a ign of things yet to come.

| Add Babiesrus and Target to that list too. Every retailer I tried to redeem SS printed coupons always say that these give problems and won't scan and they just give it back to me. I don't get it either.

I didn't have issues using coupon network coupons at walmart yesterday. I used 2 of the kotex ones and 2 of the U by kotex ones. But my walmart is also coupon friendly and I'm thankful for that! They also have a big sign outside in front saying they price match all local stores! I've never had an issue using coupons at my local wamart in Devils Lake ND. In fact most checkers get excited to see my savings, others wonder where I get my coupons. My only complaint is that I wish it was a super walmart instead of a regular one because they carry very little in terms of food items. But that's another topic.....

That's crazy because even in their ad from Sunday's ad says to go to walmart.com and print coupons to save even more money! I've never had problems at my Walmart, even had the cashier ask me how I do it. LOL |

Walmart needs to get it together. For them to stop accepting internet prints, they need to stop offering them on their website, and having coupons.com endorse them by having available at walmart, or redeemable at walmart printed on them

Well, Coupons.com Qs they seem to love it's anything else - Redplum, Couponnetwork, Smartsource they find a reason not to take all the time. I've called corporate before, and corporate claims this isn't a policy, yet - they never seem to do anything about individual stores imposing whatever rules they feel like. Ugh.

Part of the reason is because people are photo copying internet coupons... This is costing the stores a lot of money. Cashiers actually get in trouble for taking copied coupons.

Which, I recognize there is internet coupon fraud, but - you could say that about any form of payment people could potentially use. The credit card might be stolen, the cash might be counterfeit, the check might bounce. However, if Walmart wants to make it a corporate policy to only accept Coupons.com coupons, then, I think they should make that a collective policy, not - individual cashiers, managers, and stores imposing any and all rules they feel like, and or twisting the corporal policy to mean something it doesn't (by offering contradictory/multiple explanations for the same item - AKA what is a remit address.)

Okay now I am worried about my trip to Walmart - guess I will keep those q's seperate and the items as well incase there is a problem. Really if they are unhappy with something make it policy at all the stores. We have two that are about 10 miles apart and different depending on the store and who checks you out. I usually just say okay and don't fuss but it really agrivates me.

What's the point of printing and wasting expensive ink and paper on coupons that you might not be able to use. So then it's up to the companies putting the coupons out to make sure they have IP ones that will work without issues. I have a lot of problems with IP and non-IP coupons not scanning at walmart but they always enter them as vendor coupon manually. Now at one of the grocery stores in town, all the coupons work there without issues. However I do understand because of the fraud. Scanners and printers are better quality now days so I can see how some would use them to their advantage just to get a good deal or even to make new coupons for a higher dollar amount. I've never tried myself instead take advantage of having multiple laptops in the house to use and my 1-2 coupons off of. Sounds like someone needs to go back to the drawing board to find a solution to the problem.

I know this is an old thread, but this is a problem for sure. This is the second store that has been unable to scan the coupons from coupon network. They literally will not scan. I was handed back two of my coupons today at Walmart; he said they can't manually enter internet coupons. I said thank you and overpaid by $2.20. Not the end of the world. But at Kroger, it wouldn't scan so she typed in the numbers on it and it still didn't work! She pushed it through but I am so frustrated with these coupons! I contacted coupon network today, we'll see what they have to say about it; probably nothing helpful. To those of you who said your store accepted them, did they scan properly or did they manually enter them or what? Thanks in advance! |

I'm not sure about Walmart, as I haven't shopped there in months, but I have used recent Coupon Network at Target and local stores, the secret seems to printing in color.

I print my coupons in color, and haven't had any problems with any of my IP working. It's usually the regular coupons that have problems.
